Recently, Mr. Liang, a staff member of The Qixingkeng Provincial Nature Reserve in Enping, Guangdong Province, happened to encounter a group of birds with elegant shapes, bright colors, and shining metallic dazzling light in the sun. Experts from the Institute of Zoology of the Guangdong Academy of Sciences identified and confirmed that this is a national second-level protected wild animal - chestnut-throated bee tiger, which is also the first time that this species has been recorded in Enping City.

In recent years, the Enping Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government have vigorously promoted the construction of ecological civilization, providing good conditions for the gathering, habitat, recuperation and reproduction of wild animals. The first appearance of the chestnut-throated bee tiger in the Qixingkeng Provincial Nature Reserve in Enping, Guangdong Province, is a strong proof of the continuous optimization of the natural ecological environment of Enping and the continuous strengthening of the awareness of wildlife protection of the people of Enping.
