Sky: Arsenal are still interested in Madison, but the Blue Fox asks for £70 million to make the deal more difficult

According to Sky Sports, Arsenal are still very interested in Leicester City midfielder Madison, but the Blue Foxes' £70 million price tag for the player will make the deal more difficult.

Sky Sports said the players themselves were open to joining Arsenal, but Leicester's £70m price tag for the player made the potential deal difficult to make. But Arsenal have been exploring offer forms that could be accepted, including cash + Leicester City's preferred players. Direct cash offers aren't out of the question either, and the Gunners are likely to sell existing players on the team to raise enough money.

Sky Sports also noted that Madison has three years left on his contract with Leicester City and that the Blue Foxes are under no pressure to sell players, and Blue Fox coach Rodgers has also said the club "doesn't have to sell" and "doesn't need to sell" Madison.

James Madison, 24, an English attacking midfielder who debuted in Coventry and previously played for Norwich on loan several times, joined Leicester City for €25 million in July 2018 and has played 118 games for the Blue Foxes so far, contributing 27 goals and 20 assists, with the latest bid for him at €55 million (£49.5 million).
