Guangzhou, January 12 (China News Network) -- The "Landscape with Zhiyin -- Ancient Guangdong Landscape Painting Exhibition in the Collection of the Guangzhou Museum of Art" sponsored by the Guangzhou Museum of Art was launched at the Guangzhou Art Museum on January 12. Treasures such as "Qiushan Guan Waterfall Map Axis" by Gao Yu, an outstanding representative of Guangdong landscape painters in the Ming and Qing dynasties, "Hanlin Flying Waterfall Map Axis" by Li Jian, and "Landscape Album" by Liang Yuwei, a painter during the Guangxu Dynasty of the Qing Dynasty, are open to the public.
It is understood that the predecessor of the Guangzhou Museum of Art is the Guangzhou Art Museum, which was founded in 1957 and is one of the earliest art museums established after the founding of New China. Since its establishment, the museum has been committed to the collection, collection and research of the rare relics of calligraphy and paintings and the fine works of Guangdong art. In particular, with the strong support of Zhu Guang, the then mayor of Guangzhou, in the 1950s, he purchased ancient calligraphy and paintings on a large scale in The Beijing-Tianjin- Jiangsu-Zhejiang region (especially Beijing and Shanghai). After 60 years of accumulation, the scale of the collection is considerable. The collection of paintings from the past dynasties, from the Song and Yuan dynasties to the modern and contemporary, is dazzling, of which the paintings of the Ming and Qing dynasties and modern times are particularly complete.
The academy's special curation of Guangdong's ancient mountain calligraphy and painting exhibition has been 30 or 40 years since the last exhibition, the exhibition special selection of the academy to collect more than 90 pieces of landscape paintings by Ming and Qing Guangdong painters and painters living in Guangdong, from the two parts of "Yihui Ancients" and "Writing Scenery Lyricism", introducing the landscape paintings of late Ming and early Qing painters Li Suiqiu, Ou Yiyi, Gao Yu, Shi Shen, Yuan Dengdao, Li Jian, Xie Lansheng and others, hoping to sort out the evolution of Guangdong landscape painting style from the Ming and Qing dynasties to the ming and qing dynasties, and present the regional characteristics contained therein.
The works in this exhibition are displayed in a variety of forms, and strive to comprehensively present the formal characteristics of traditional hand scrolls, scrolls, fans, albums and other display forms, so that the audience can deeply understand the various display forms of Chinese painting works.
