As the saying goes, spring sleepiness, autumn fatigue, summer napping. Today's spring equinox is coming, the reporter interviewed experts from the Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine to find ways to prevent and treat physical discomfort symptoms that are prone to spring such as spring sleepiness.

Wu Jie, director of the Center for the Treatment of Diseases at the Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, said that yang qi began to grow in the spring. If a person's yang qi is insufficient (that is, physical weakness), there will be symptoms such as drowsiness, fatigue, and cold intolerance, which is usually called spring sleepiness.

Wu Jie reminded that spring sleepiness is a manifestation of insufficient qi and blood and insufficient yang qi. At this time, we should pay attention to living and eating. In terms of diet, it is recommended to drink some brown sugar ginger soup after getting up in the morning, which is called "getting out of bed ginger". Because Yang Qi is born from the beginning of the daily sub-hour (23:00 to 1:00 a.m.) and grows to the extreme at 12:00 noon, it is better to drink ginger soup in the morning and tonify Yang Qi. In addition, green onions, garlic, bean sprouts, and coriander, these are all hair-growing foods that are good for preventing spring sleepiness. In terms of traditional Chinese medicine, astragalus, ginseng and other drugs should be used to replenish qi and blood to help Yang Qi.

Appropriate exercise is also an important way to prevent and control spring sleepiness. Wu Jie said that in the spring, everything recovers, and people must also start activities, and they can go outdoors to climb mountains.
