On October 11, 2021, the opening ceremony of the exhibition of paintings with the theme of "Poetic Haidian, Sanshan Five Gardens" was held at zhengjue Temple in Yuanmingyuan Park, and the exhibition was hosted by The Beijing Federation of Literary and Art Circles of Haidian District, the Management Office of Yuanmingyuan of Haidian District of Beijing, and the Artists Association of Haidian District of Beijing. Present at the opening ceremony were Zhao Shaohua, former vice minister of culture and chairman of the Academic Advisory Committee of the Institute of Culture and Economic Research of Tsinghua University, Miao Di, deputy director of the Propaganda Department of the Haidian District CPC Committee and chairman of the Haidian District Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Qiu Wenzhong, director of the Yuanmingyuan Management Office of Haidian District, Ye Hongqi, vice chairman of the Haidian District Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Cui Jing, secretary general of the Haidian District Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Rong Tie, director of the China Artists Association and director of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, director of the Chinese Painting Society and member of the Art Committee of the China Artists Association. Wang Lijun, vice chairman of the Haidian Artists Association, Fan Zhenyin, vice president of the Seal Collection Research Committee of the China Collectors Association, Sun Peijie, member of the China Artists Association and director of the China Calligraphers Association, Director of the Beijing Artists Association and director of the Outreach Department, Zhang Chi, deputy secretary general of the Haidian District Literary association and deputy secretary general of the Artists Association, Liu Bolang, president of the Beijing Royal Garden Calligraphy and Painting Research Association, Wang Xingjia, a national first-class artist and former director of the Rongbaozhai Art Museum, and Han Zhifang, general manager of century-passed entry and exit trade (Beijing) company. The opening ceremony was presided over by Ye Hongqi, vice chairman of the Haidian District Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and the guests of speech included Chairman Miaodi, Director Qiu Wenzhong, Famous Painter Sun Peijie, and Vice Minister Zhao Shaohua announcing the opening.
Sanshan Five Gardens is a collective name for the historical and cultural heritage represented by the Qing Dynasty Royal Gardens in the northwest suburbs of Beijing, the Three Mountains refer to Wanshou Mountain, Xiangshan Mountain, Yuquan Mountain, and the Five Gardens refer to Qingyi Garden (Summer Palace), Jingyi Garden, Jingming Garden, Changchun Garden and Yuanmingyuan, all located in Haidian District, which are treasures in the history of Chinese gardens and masterpieces in the history of world gardens. The Three Mountains and Five Gardens are the first of the Yongdinghe Cultural Belt in Xishan, the source of the Canal Cultural Belt, since the Jin Dynasty, the emperors and nobles, the dignitaries of the high-ranking officials, and the literati have loved the landscape in the area, and have successively built gardens to form a garden community in western Beijing. The Three Mountains and Five Gardens are not only the integrators in the history of the development of Chinese gardens, but also have rich historical and cultural connotations, shoulder the responsibility of Beijing's urban context, condense the concepts, memories and traditions of traditional Chinese culture, and carry the spiritual pursuit of the Chinese nation for thousands of years.
Entering a new era, the Three Mountains and Five Gardens have increasingly become the most exciting and perfect example of the collision between traditional Chinese culture and the world's cutting-edge science and technology, becoming more and more youthful, more and more exciting, more and more brilliant. As the golden business card of Beijing's construction of a national cultural center, the Three Mountains and Five Gardens have gradually become an important symbol of the Chinese nation, an important bearing area for the core functions of the capital, a model for the inheritance of national history and culture, and a representative area for contact with the oriental living environment in accordance with the strategic deployment of the two new and two high schools of the district party committee.
The 50 paintings on display were all created by the painter Mr. Sun Peijie. He has been using the traditional ink painting art of Louge landscape painting for decades, taking Beijing's "Three Mountains and Five Gardens" as the theme of painting creation, through a large number of sketches and styles of ancient gardens, and combined with the study of the literature and history of the Three Mountains and Five Gardens, he has created a large number of thematic series of works in the art form of Chinese ink painting. This exhibition is a visual feast of traditional painting art and classic gardens, and is exhibited in the Yuanmingyuan, which not only fits the theme of the exhibition, but also reflects the unique attributes of the Yuanmingyuan as a cultural and historical site.
