Zhao Lijian said that in August this year, the Chinese giant panda "Huanhuan" in France successfully gave birth to a pair of panda twins. On November 18, the naming ceremony of the two panda cubs was held at the Beau vallé Zoo in France. Chinese Olympic diving champion Zhang Jiaqi and French footballer Mbappe jointly unveiled the name. More than 1,000 officials from the Chinese Embassy in France and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs attended the meeting.

Zhao Lijian said: "These two pandas, one is named 'Huan Li Li'. 'Huan' is taken from the panda mother 'Huan Huan', 'Li Li' means 'Paris'; 'Round Toot' is the name of another panda. 'Circle' is taken from panda dad 'Yuanzai', and 'Toot' means 'Chengdu'. Both of them follow their father's surname and one with their mother's surname. Their names embody the wishes and expectations of the two peoples for the development of Sino-French friendship.
