"The total cost of the proposed vehicle is the total cost of the latest patrol car purchased by the Redding Police Department (RPD) in California, and various federal law enforcement agencies currently using Tesla electric vehicles have achieved average annual fuel and maintenance savings of $7,000 to $9,000, and purchasing this pure electric vehicle can be seen as a way for us to reduce fuel and maintenance costs."
