I would like to dedicate this article to the Taiwanese female martyr of the People's Republic of China "Ding Miao"!

Today, we think of you again: unforgettable Taiwanese female martyr Ding Miaomiao, who died in Taiwan in 1956

Ding Miao (1927-1956) This is the second grade of ding miao

I. "Ding Miao" on the West Mountain in Beijing

Eight years ago, in 2013, the capital Beijing built an Unsung Heroes Square in Xishan, and the names of 846 people engraved on the "Monument to the Unsung Heroes" at the same time were an unprecedented lament for our party's hidden front, which is still whispered in the fading years.

This time, I stumbled upon a man named "Ding Miao" (丁窈窕). "Ding Miao", a native of Taiwan, her name on the Wall of the Unsung Heroes, ranked 14th in the ninth group. I found that it was the result in alphabetical order.

Ding Miaomiao, she is one of the few female martyrs in Taiwan who are posthumously recognized by our party as revolutionary martyrs and listed in the Wall of Unsung Heroes in Beijing's Xishan Mountains!

2. He was unfortunately arrested while pregnant with Rokka

In 1954, the so-called "Tainan Municipal Committee Post and Telecommunications Branch Case" occurred in Taiwan. The Kuomintang regarded Wu Lishui as the main culprit, so it was also called the "Wu Lishui case."

Ding Miao, as well as his friend Shi Shuihuan worked at the Tainan Post Office

At that time, Ding Miao, a native of Tainan, Taiwan, born in 1927, and his friend Shi Shuihuan were working at the Tainan Post Office.

Shi Shuihuan, who was righteous at the same time as Ding Miao, ranked 6th in the 34th group of the Wall of Unsung Heroes in Xishan, Beijing, and one of the local female martyrs of our party in Taiwan!

Ding Miao, Shi Shuihuan, they are high school classmates and good friends. After graduation, they all worked at the Tainan Post Office of the General Post Office of Taiwan.

At that time, there was a man who was enthusiastically pursuing Shi Shuihuan, and when Ding Miao saw that his heart was not right, he reminded his friend to keep a distance from this man, but the man was resentful and sent a letter to the Taiwan Provincial Security Headquarters to falsely accuse Ding Miao. Their colleague Wu Lishui secretly intercepted and burned the letters from the post office in order to protect Ding Miao.

In 1954, Wu Lishui was arrested, and Ding Miao and Shi Shuihuan were arrested, and they both became victims of white terror during taiwan's martial law period.

3. The death penalty for a woman born in prison

Unfortunately, Ding Miao, who was pregnant with Liujia at the time, entered the prison shortly after entering the prison and gave birth to a girl in prison.

At the time, Ding was working in a sewing factory in Green Island Prison, and many other women were arrested, just like Ding, and even her young children were brought into prison.

In July 1956, no one expected that Ding Miao's last days would come.

Her daughter grew up in a women's prison, so every time the prison guard shouted "so-and-so, come out," the little girl knew what "shooting."

On July 24, Ding was making clothes at the prison factory as her daughter and other children frolicked. A female prison guard came to Ding Miao: "You have a special reception. ”

Ding Miaomiao was still in custody awaiting sentencing at the time, and she had no idea what a "special reception" was, so she thought that someone was visiting, so she picked up her daughter and walked to the hall. As soon as she arrived at the door, the prison guard suddenly pulled the child hard from Ding Miao's arms, and then she was about to handcuff her hands and feet, at that moment, Ding Miao's greatest pain was probably to say goodbye to her daughter's life and death!

At that moment, the daughter, who was not very sensible, hugged her mother tightly with both hands and feet, turned back to all the victims present and said, "My mother is not a bad person, you don't shoot her." ”

On December 28, 1952, 17-year-old Li Shicheng, a 17-year-old surviving soldier of the "Taiwan People's Armed Defense Corps", told the story of resisting encirclement and suppression at the Guangming Temple 60 years later

At that time, Li Shicheng, the largest armed base of our party in Taiwan and known as the "Deer Cave" incident in Taiwan's Little Yan'an, happened to witness a tragic scene that he would never forget and a mother and daughter farewell:

In prison, when I saw the scene of Ding Miaomiao going to the execution site and hugging the young girl tightly, when the little girl hugged her mother's body tightly and her hands and feet were pulled apart, she opened her mouth and bit her mother's short hair, and under the hard pull, she only saw that the little girl was soaked with blood on her hair, which regretted the entire battlefield. Such a scene of life and death, family destruction, let anyone who witnesses it, never forget!

Zhang Changmei, who was 22 years old at the time. In her freshman year of high school, she joined the Student Self-Government Association and was sentenced to 12 years in prison by the Kuomintang on charges. When she went to the political prisoner's prison "Green Island" that year, she was imprisoned with Ding Miao. After that, Zhang Changmei recalled this heart-rending scene to the media countless times:

At that time, Ding Miao's child cried non-stop, crying until she hugged her back, and she couldn't catch her breath, and whoever hugged her kept crying. Finally, he asked Ding Miao's husband to hold him back. Her husband knew she was dead and almost went crazy. And at the same time as Ding Miaomiao, he was taken out and shot, and there was also a water ring.

On July 24, 1956, Ding Miao was taken to the execution ground like this, and she and lonely stayed in prison crying madly, "My mother is not a bad person, you don't shoot her young daughter to this world and never say goodbye!"

The final destination of Ding Miao, friends such as Shi Shuihuan, shrouded in white terror

Along with Ding Miao, she was also heroic and righteous, and her friend Shi Shuihuan!

Ding Miao, Shi Shuihuan, you were unfortunately born in a "white world"!

Let us not forget history and always remember the unsung heroes of these hidden fronts!

Fourth, after the typhoon, we "goodbye" Ding Miao

Ask the world, what is love, Straight Teachings life and death promise!

Coincidentally, Ding's former lover, Guo Zhenxuan, was arrested and imprisoned with her for being framed. Once, Guo Zhenxuan injured himself while in custody in order to see Ding Miaomiao in the infirmary. Knowing that he would not be able to escape death, Ding told Guo Zhenxuan that he would not be able to escape the death penalty, and tomorrow he would write a note in a cigarette box in a new paradise, throw it under the tree by the side of the wind field, and ask him to pick it up. The next day, Guo Zhenchun did find Ding Miao's pre-placed cigarette box, in which she wrote a note and a pinch of her own hair.

Guo Zhenxuan, a native of Tainan City, participated in the "228" movement. In 1951, Guo Zhenchun met Ding Miao, the two fell in love because of similar interests, and later dissolved the marriage contract due to participation in the influence of social movements, and Ding Miao married someone else. In 1953, Guo Zhenchun was arrested, suffered nail pulling and other torture without confessing, and was finally sentenced to life imprisonment. He was proficient in English, Japanese, Chinese, and translated three works in prison until he was released from prison after Chiang Kai-shek's death in 1975, when Guo Zhenchun learned that Ding had been killed 19 years earlier.

Ten years of life and death are uncertain. Don't think about it, it's unforgettable!

After Guo Zhenchun was released from prison, he decided to leave Taiwan to live, and before leaving, he wrapped Ding Miao's hair in a paper bag and buried it under a golden turtle tree next to the playground of Tainan Girls' High School. The golden turtle tree that grows in Taiwan is an evergreen tree with green leaves and sharp spines at the base. The height is 8 to 15 meters, the crown is round, the crown width reaches 5 to 8 meters, and it can flower throughout the year, the flowers are pale white, and the pods are yellowish red.

There is no intention of bitterly fighting for spring, and Ren Qunfang is jealous. Zero fell into mud and dust, only incense as before!

In 2015, nearly 60 years after Ding left the world, when Guo Zhenchun buried a "keepsake" in a golden turtle tree next to the playground of Tainan Girls' High School for 40 years, a summer typhoon "Morak" suddenly swept across Taiwan.

Today, we think of you again: unforgettable Taiwanese female martyr Ding Miaomiao, who died in Taiwan in 1956

Tainan Girls' "Ding Miao Tree" in 2015, which experienced typhoon dumping

For a time, the fierce wind blew down many trees in Tainan, and the streets were devastated. What I didn't expect was that one of the trees that fell down suddenly touched the nerves of many people in Taiwan...

The tree that fell down was the golden turtle tree known as the "Ding Miao Tree" located on the campus of Tainan Girls' High School. The name commemorates a young mother who was under 3 years old and watched as she was dragged out and shot by the Kuomintang 59 years ago.

That year, Guo Zhenchun, who was 94 years old at the time, recalled with many people under the tree of "Ding Miao" that he and many people reminisced about the years of suffering in prison with his friend Ding Miao, saying:

"The most beautiful memories of Ding Miao's life are in Tainan Girls' High School, hoping to sublimate suffering and use her legacy to guide young students to pursue a better future of democracy and human rights."

This is the story of "Ding Miao Tree", a big tree that once witnessed the history of Taiwan's bloody rain and white terror!

At this point, I suddenly felt that people who knew her might think that Ding Miao had not suffered misfortune in 1956, and that she should have died at the age of 89 in 2015!

In fact, the earth inhabited by human beings is omnipotent and all-encompassing, and no matter how strong the wind in the world is, even the strongest typhoon is the same. It is only time that goes with the wind, and those who remain in the vast earth are often the indomitable souls!

Stills from Splendid Time

In December 2015, the series "Splendid Time", directed by Zheng Wentang, co-written by Zheng Wentang, Zheng Xinmei and Yang Huiwen, and starring Wu Jianhe, Yao Chunyao, Jia Peiya, Fu Xiaoyun, Long Guanwu and Pan Lili, premiered in Taiwan. It is an emotional drama depicting two generations in Taiwan around 1945 and 1980. It is said that this series shows the stories of Ding Miao and other victims of Taiwan's white terror period.

In 2018, on the eve of the Mid-Autumn Festival, the supermarket with the largest number of stores in Taiwan, the "All-Union Welfare Center", released three advertising videos, one of which was alleged by netizens as an allusion to Ding Miao, causing heated discussion.

In the three advertising short films released by the "All-Union Welfare Center", netizens believe that it is an allusion to the advertising stills of Ding Miao

The woman in the ad is believed to be an allusion to Ding Miao, who speaks Japanese. In the "All-Union" advertisement, Taiwanese netizens suspect that the woman who speaks Japanese is alluding to Ding Miao, and a young girl next to her is also alluding to the girl born in prison.

As long as we remember Ding Miao, an outstanding son and daughter of China and a martyr of the Republic, you have never left!

If we have not forgotten the name "Ding Miao" and this past, then on the day of the reunification of Baodao Island, we can meet together to go to the campus of Tainan Girls' High School, see the "Ding Miao Tree" with our own eyes, and prayerfully offer a petal of our hearts.

VI. Epilogue: An Unforgettable Memorial

To the Ding Miao Tree

If you haven't forgotten

Yesterday and today are one step away

If you don't remember

Yesterday and today are out of reach

An unimaginable day

The fall of a tree

Let a person drowned in the storm of history be reborn

No one remembers a wind six years ago

The gust of wind was somewhat familiar

The gust of wind seemed to have met unexpectedly

That gust of wind blew down a tree

That blown down tree

Let us remember the lost yesterday

Why that tree

Why

Maybe that tree was where they first met when they were young

Perhaps that tree once witnessed a pair of young boys and girls whose love sinuses had just opened

That tree could also have been the first time they were together after dusk

I don't know if she's okay in a foreign land?

I don't know where the young girl who cried out for her was?

That tree "met" a man 40 years ago

It was a "promise" from another death row prisoner who was treasured by a life sentence prisoner.

It was a secret that had been hidden in my heart for more than 20 years

It was a relic between "criminals" and "criminals."

It was a gift from a former lover who had accidentally met in prison

It was the last-of-life entrustment of never seeing a lover again in this life

yes!

That abominable era

The one who doesn't die

That can't be a love affair

That one immortal soul

A parting that I will never see again in my life

Buried together under this tree

It was a wisp of green silk for a woman

It was the last wish of a martyr

It was a poignant and mournful song of a young mother

Righteousness

Death

The fallen tree nirvana was reborn

The forgotten man returned to the world

This goes on for years

Endless
