Recently, the Nagqu Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism convened relevant personnel such as the Ancient Books Office, the Cultural Relics Section, and the Intangible Cultural Heritage Office to complete the acceptance of the second batch of national precious ancient books reproduction and digitization phased achievements in Nagqu City - the "Bon Kangyur" (a total of 19 parts and 57 copies) collected by Bra Monastery in Baqing County.
Since 2009, the Nagqu Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism has invited experts from the Autonomous Region's Ancient Books Protection Center to form a census working group to complete the census registration of 65 temples, Lakang and Richai totaling 1567 ancient books in 11 counties (districts) of the city, and 302 ancient books in 42 folk, individual and collecting units.
In September 2012, the staff of the District Ancient Books Protection Center went to the "Three Western Counties" in Nagqu District to conduct a census of ancient books.
After screening, evaluating and declaring the results of the census one by one, a total of seven ancient books in Nagqu City were included in the national precious ancient books list, namely "Xin rao Mi wo Bunsheng Transmission of demons", "Bon Kangyur", "Dabraj Teachings", "Tashi Jiong Monastery Chronicle", "Lotus Flower Life Biography", "Chiji Prophecy", and "Zunsheng Dravidian Sutra".
In September 2012, the staff of the District Ancient Books Protection Center went to the "East Three Counties" in Nagqu District to conduct a census of ancient books.
At the same time, with the support and guidance of the Nagqu Municipal Party Committee, the Municipal Government, the Department of Culture of the Autonomous Region, and the Autonomous Region Library (Ancient Books Protection Center), since 2018, the nagqu Municipal Finance has invested 2.697 million yuan to copy, restore and digitize the ancient books included in the national precious ancient books list.
Census takers register private collections in Nagqu Baqing County
Up to now, Nagqu City has completed the first and second batches of national precious ancient books such as "Dabraje Teachings", "Tashi Jiong Monastery Chronicle", "Lotus Flower Biography", "Xin Rao Mi Wo Bunsheng Descending Demons", "Bon Kangjul" and other 41 national precious ancient books, a total of 16,023 pages of reproduction and digitization projects, and completed the acceptance and transfer work.
