I took the college entrance examination in 1979, and I was not admitted to the university at that time, but only to the nursing school, because we usually studied engineering and agriculture for a long time when we were in school, and the basic knowledge was not good. I remember that we were 105 students in that class, and only two secondary schools were examined, and we were all children from rural areas at that time. I remember my father saying: "When I went to the brigade to open a letter of introduction and transfer the household registration, it was the most proud time for my father, and I didn't need to ask someone to say good things, so I changed to a resident household registration." I went to the health school for two and a half years, at that time the secondary school was still allocated, we were the first batch of regular secondary school students, various medical units are particularly willing to us, in 1981 I was directly assigned to the county hospital as a nurse, can be a cadre of the hospital nurse, but also I usually study hard, the result of their own efforts. I had a stable job that year, and although the nurse was very busy and tired, she was a job that healed and saved people, and I liked it myself.
Second, keep learning and don't stop
After I became a nurse, I continued to study and never stopped, and my original education was technical secondary school. I didn't forget to study, go with the flow, continue to self-study to participate in the adult self-study exam, after two years of self-study, I got the diploma of the nursing college, the college diploma I did not stop learning, I began to study by myself again, although I was in my early 40s, and there were children, and I had to go to work to say that it was very busy and tired, I have not given up studying, I am not very the subjects of the exam, as long as I read the book well, work hard, I can pass, one of the most difficult is the English of the university, our batch of secondary school students basically did not learn English, or have learned a little bit, to pass the undergraduate English is quite difficult, I took the test twice, I didn't pass the first time, and then I reviewed carefully, memorized the words, understood the content of the book, learned, passed the second exam, I got a bachelor's degree, and obtained a bachelor's degree, I was the first person in our class to get a bachelor's degree, and only I know the hardship.
Third, opportunities are always given to those who are prepared, and I am promoted year by year.
I was promoted from a small nurse to a nurse in five years, and this nurse was not very easy to get promoted at that time, because there were only ten places for our 40 classmates, and I needed to take the examination and practical operation, so I was very lucky to be promoted to nurse, and continued to work for another five years, and was promoted to the chief nurse through the assessment of English, professional courses and business operations. In 1999, I transferred to a new working hospital, according to the promotion period of my nurse in charge, and I have a university diploma, I can participate in the promotion of deputy chief nurse, the promotion requires to have my own thesis, to take the English test, but also to defend the thesis, a district-level hospital, to be promoted to the deputy senior title, it is indeed not an easy task, but I have prepared the conditions myself, there are papers, English exams passed, so the opportunity is always left to those who are prepared. I passed the dissertation defense in Beijing for the first time, and I was the first person in our class to be promoted to deputy chief nurse.
I thought that after five years of work, I could still be promoted to the chief nurse, and it was even more difficult for the deputy chief nurse to be promoted to the chief nurse. At that time, when the thesis was defended, I repeatedly revised the slides of the thesis more than a dozen times, there were nine pictures alone, I was quite well prepared, during the defense, the three judges and teachers raised a few questions to me, and I answered them better, and then the judges and teachers discussed, the suburban comrades wrote their papers well, and they were so well prepared, it was said that they should be promoted to the head nurses of Beijing's tertiary hospitals, but their papers were much worse than my papers, and they generally did not advocate the promotion of the quota to the secondary hospitals, but they read my thesis and my defense or unanimously agreed that I was promoted to the chief nurseI became the only nurse in our district at the time.
After the promotion, from salary to housing, all aspects have enjoyed the benefits of the promotion of this title, and the pension after retirement is also a lot, at least enough to eat and drink daily expenses, and now my life is really down-to-earth and comfortable, so I have been saying: "My destiny also depends on my own efforts, and opportunities are always left to those who are prepared", which is the result of my hard work in the first half of my life.
