What we didn't expect was that it was just launched in March this year, and the price system of the new car was repeatedly broken down in June, and the entry-level came to 139,800, and the Shuangqing version was already less than 150,000, I'm afraid even Toyota didn't expect the price to fall so quickly.

From the perspective of sales, in February this year, the monthly sales in March did not even exceed 7,000. Fortunately, sales increased slightly in April this year, reaching 9,323 units per month. However, compared with last year's monthly average of more than 20,000, the new 9th-generation Camry has not yet achieved the desired sales.

In fact, many friends are not very clear that the power system of the new 9th generation Camry has undergone great changes, and this new car is equipped with a 2.0L plus CVT continuously variable transmission. In addition, there is a 2.0-liter dual-engine version with an electric motor, mated to an E-CVT electronic continuously variable transmission. We have tested the 2.0L and dual-engine versions of this model, and the 2.0L power system is good for transportation, and the use experience is better in low and medium speeds.

There is one thing to say, the 2.0L dual-engine version is more recommended, the driving texture is good, the overall mute effect is also good, and the more important thing is that there is no frustration, there is a Lexus driving texture.

In fact, at the beginning, GAC Toyota swore that the new 9th-generation Camry will use a new powertrain, which is actually this 2.0L dual-engine version. Due to the fact that the sales volume did not meet expectations, it can be seen that the 2.5L dual-engine version of the Camry has officially completed the declaration, so it will not be long before we can see the new car with a displacement of 2.5L. But the sales of the new 9th-generation Camry are not up to expectations, is it really due to displacement?

As for the overall styling design, it is quite exquisite, with both sports and luxury versions, and two different styles are adapted to more consumers. The only thing in common is that the design of the whole vehicle has a relatively low center of gravity, and the body proportions are very coordinated, which is in line with the aesthetic of the Chinese. In terms of body data, the length, width and height of the new 9th-generation Camry are 4915/1840/1450mm, and the wheelbase is 2825mm.

The internal structure design is much neater than that of the previous generation model. For a long time, Toyota has given me the feeling that the interior is rough, but the interior design of the new 9th generation Camry does not have much to be faulted with, and it has obvious advantages compared with competitors in the same class, and the luxury style of the interior is obvious.

In addition, the car is matched with 10.25-inch and 12.3-inch floating central control screens, and also has a 7-inch or 12.3-inch driving computer screen.

Although the low-profile model also has two large screens, the configuration is relatively simple, not only lacks the voice recognition control system, but also does not even have the Internet of Vehicles, OTA upgrades, and the degree of intelligence is insufficient.

In terms of configuration, the leather multi-function steering wheel and leather imitation leather hybrid seats have become softer than the previous generation. What's more, the all-new 9th-generation Camry is matched with the L2 level of intelligent driving assistance system, but after careful study, you will find that the entry-level model configuration is still miserable. For example, although it has an L2 intelligent driving system, it does not even have the entry configuration of reversing image and front and rear parking radar, which brings the disadvantage that intelligent driving is not sensitive. In addition, things like plastic steering wheels, small sunroofs, and manually adjustable seats can easily discourage customers from buying.

One thing to say, the new 9th-generation Camry has such a big price drop in the short term, which really didn't surprise us, but it doesn't mean that all models are worth buying, so you still need to test drive more and understand more about the configuration before buying a car.
