In order to further strengthen the water safety supervision and search and rescue capabilities, improve the rapid response ability, emergency response ability and coordination and rescue ability to deal with water rescue emergencies, and maintain the safety and stability of water transportation in the county. On June 5, the Dongxiang County Transportation Bureau, together with the County Emergency Management Bureau, the Culture and Tourism Bureau, the People's Government of Hetan Town, the Health Center of Hetan Town and other units, carried out the 2024 water search and rescue emergency drill at Donggan Wharf, and Kong Linghu, deputy director of the State Maritime Safety Administration, was invited to observe and guide on the spot.
During the exercise, the drill subjects such as accidental fire and fire extinguishing of passenger ships, life-saving drills for tourists overboard on passenger ships, and transfer of tourists in case of mechanical failure of passenger ships were simulated successively, so as to fully restore the real scene and respond to dangerous situations. All the participants were fully engaged, obeyed orders, obeyed commands, responded quickly, and the on-site commanders commanded properly and made decisive decisions, successfully completed all the preset subjects of the drill, and achieved the expected results.
It is understood that a total of 34 people participated in the drill and 14 rescue ships. Through the exercise, it not only improved the level of emergency linkage response and emergency response to water emergencies, but also improved the ability of cooperative operations with other units. In the next step, the relevant departments of Dongxiang County will continue to strengthen the theoretical knowledge of water search and rescue work, the learning and training of professional rescue skills and practical exercises, build a solid foundation for emergency rescue, continuously strengthen the actual combat ability of the water rescue professional team, and make every effort to do a good job in water traffic safety and emergency response in the jurisdiction, so as to escort the stability of the county's water traffic safety situation.
