The 2024 ILCA4 Sailing World Championship opens

One of the world's largest junior regatta events, #2024年ILCA4世界锦标赛# officially opened in Viana do Castelo on 24 June local time in Portugal with a practice session and a walking parade around the city after the opening ceremony. All the teams and contestants waved their flags and brightly colored gear. The World Championships will last until June 30 local time in Portugal. A total of 427 sailors, 108 coaches and more than 900 supporters from 51 countries participated.

Viana do Castelo is full of smiling faces from all over the world, and people wander around the city to enjoy the local cuisine and the great weather at this time of year. With a rich heritage dating back to 1258, the Viana do Nola do Castelo region of Portugal is a city of profound historical significance. Surrounded by the Lima River and the Atlantic Ocean, this city of 26,000 people is a community dedicated entirely to water sports activities, a testament to its enduring love for the sea. The facilities of the Viana do Bravo Sailing Club provide an excellent base for sailing events, with more than 6,000 square meters of space, 3 slides and many volunteers joining the organization of the event.
