At the same time, Pham Minh Chinh also said that China and Vietnam should implement the Agreement on Basic Principles for Guiding the Settlement of Vietnam-China Maritime Issues, respect international law including the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, and properly handle maritime issues.
