The Ludao Lake Campus of the Second People's Hospital of Foshan City is a provincial key construction project, located at the junction of Changang Road and Hongde North Road, Nanzhuang Town, Chancheng District, adjacent to Ludao Lake, and is positioned as a large-scale modern tertiary comprehensive high-level hospital well-known in China and radiating the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
The project covers an area of 120 acres, with a total construction area of about 273,100 square meters, a total investment of 3.375 billion yuan, 1,200 beds, and a capacity of 1,800 beds, which can meet the daily outpatient volume of 10,000 people, with 41 ICU beds and 30 CCU beds. There are 31 operating rooms, including 1 robotic operating room, 1 hybrid operating room, and 9 ophthalmology operating rooms; It is equipped with an emission laboratory, 1 ECT, 1 PET-CT and 3 nuclide wards; Equipped with 2 linear accelerators.
Looking at the newly completed Ludao Lake Campus of Foshan Second People's Hospital from a distance, the podium is shaped like a dragon boat, creating a medical architectural form of "waterfront dragon boat", forming a sense of "water rhyme reflection" and building a new landmark of the city. The interior decoration is mainly wood-colored textures to create a comfortable and relaxing medical space.

The Ludaohu Campus of the Second People's Hospital of Foshan will be put into trial operation at the end of this year. During the trial operation, all specialties of the hospital will open outpatient clinics in the new hospital area, including emergency department, ophthalmology, optometry, stomatology, otolaryngology, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, traditional Chinese medicine, rehabilitation medicine, etc., and 1,200 inpatient beds will be gradually opened to provide patients with a full range of diagnosis and treatment services.
"In the trial operation stage, we will achieve fast first aid, complete disciplines, strong platform, and excellent service, and make every effort to ensure the medical needs of the people." The relevant person in charge of the second hospital of the city said.
Ophthalmology is the dominant discipline of the Second Municipal Hospital, which has been selected as a key clinical specialty in Guangdong Province and one of the first batch of key specialty cultivation projects of the National Health and Family Planning Commission in Foshan. Ludao Lake Hospital has set up a single-family ophthalmology building, integrating outpatient, functional examination, optometry center, inpatient and other functions, introducing top ophthalmology equipment at home and abroad, making every effort to build Foshan Eye Hospital, creating a national key clinical specialty, and creating a first-class ophthalmic medicine highland in China that meets the eye health needs of people of all ages throughout their life.

In terms of subway travel, the exit of Ludao Hubei Station of Foshan Metro Line 4 can directly reach the basement floor of the hospital, truly realizing the seamless connection between the subway station and the hospital.
In terms of public transportation, there is a bus hub station on the east side of the campus, which is scheduled to be completed in July 2024, and there is a pedestrian bridge leading to the new hospital on the west side of the second floor of the hub station, which is convenient and safe.
In addition, on the basis of the original Jihua Road and Foshan First Ring Road, Luyin Road on the north side and Hucui 2nd Road on the east side have entered the construction stage, which will improve the connectivity of the road network around the new hospital area and provide convenience for citizens to travel by car.
In order to solve the problem of parking difficulties, the new hospital is equipped with 960 parking spaces, and about 700 parking spaces can be parked on the second to fifth floors of the bus hub station, and there are charging pile parking spaces, with a maximum capacity of 1,000 parking spaces.
