Neonatal respiratory distress urgently needs to be transferred to the hospital, and emergency personnel are intimate to protect the safe transport

At 8:39 p.m. on June 26, Dai Siyao's team at the Sujiatun Branch of the Shenyang Emergency Center received a request for help, and a newborn in the jurisdiction urgently needed to be transferred to a higher-level hospital for treatment due to respiratory distress. After receiving the request for help, the emergency personnel quickly rushed to the scene, and when handing over to the on-site doctor, they learned that the child was in respiratory distress, and the blood oxygen would drop immediately after being weaned off the oxygen.

During the transport, doctor Dai Siyao and nurse Shi Pai sat on a stretcher and bent over to monitor the child's breathing and blood oxygen. When using an oxygen mask, the oxygen flow is too large, which may cause the local oxygen concentration to be too high, and the newborn is prone to vomiting and headache. If the oxygen flow is too low, it can lead to carbon dioxide retention, leaving the newborn hypoxic. Therefore, when using the oxygen hood, it is necessary to adjust the appropriate oxygen flow rate in time and fix it to avoid falling off. If the newborn is found to have uncomfortable symptoms, it needs to be treated symptomatically.

The driver, Sun Longjiang, drove the ambulance quickly and smoothly to the higher-level hospital, and after arriving at the hospital, the doctor Dai Siyao and nurse Shi Payin bent down to protect the child throughout the whole process, and the waist could not stand up, and the sweat soaked the clothes. However, the first responders did not have time to take care of themselves, so they arrived at the pediatric emergency department as quickly as possible, informed the hospital doctor of the newborn's condition, and assisted the parents to complete the admission. It wasn't until they saw the child safely admitted to the hospital that the first responders breathed a sigh of relief. Everyone quickly sorted out the first aid supplies, returned to the ambulance, and was ready to rush to the next emergency scene.
