On May 29, 2024, the Xuanwu District Special Education Guidance Center held a project exchange meeting of the Xuanwu District Research and Support Center for the Learning and Development of Children with Special Needs. The meeting invited Hong Qin, chief physician of Nanjing Maternal and Child Health Hospital, He Yanlu, deputy chief rehabilitation therapist, Xie Yachun, attending physician, and Zhou Jia, graduate student, to guide the work of the project. Zhu Liling, Deputy Director of the Xuanwu District Special Education Guidance Center, Miao Qian, Vice Principal of the Xuanwu District Special Education School, Cui Xiaolu, Deputy Director of Moral Education of the Xuanwu District Special Education School, and the leaders and resource teachers of the ten leading schools of the Xuanwu District Experimental Project participated in the meeting and exchanged views.

First of all, Zhu Liling, deputy director of the Xuanwu District Special Education Guidance Center, made a speech, she summarized the progress of the work of the leading schools at this stage, and elaborated on the common problems in the work of each school. Then she clarified the purpose of the meeting, hoping that through expert guidance and on-site exchanges, each school can actively carry out its own project research work.
Xu Xiaojuan, deputy secretary of the Party branch of Nanjing University of Science and Technology Experimental Primary School, introduced the specific situation of the school in terms of project research, elaborated on the work arrangement of the school to promote the project of the Research and Support Center for the Learning and Development of Children with Special Needs, and shared the experience in the implementation of the project.
Other schools that participated in the meeting also exchanged ideas and raised questions about the confusion in the work. Director Hong Qin answered them one by one through specific cases and made suggestions based on the research directions of each school.
This exchange meeting pointed out the direction for the research work of various projects of the Xuanwu District Special Needs Children Learning and Development Research and Support Center. Xuanwu District will actively promote project research, carry out integrated education in a solid manner, and create more opportunities for the healthy development of every student with special needs in Xuanwu District.
