From July 1st to 9th, the 22nd U20 Women's Volleyball Asian Championship in 2024 will be held at the Jiangmen Sports Center in Guangdong. Jiangmen Sports Center has hosted the World Women's Volleyball League in the past, and has a lot of experience in hosting events. The tournament was hosted by the Asian Volleyball Federation and co-hosted by the Chinese Volleyball Association and the Jiangmen Municipal People's Government.
A total of 12 teams participated in this competition, namely the Chinese women's volleyball team, the Japanese women's volleyball team, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team, the Indian women's volleyball team, the Hong Kong women's volleyball team, the Kazakhstan women's volleyball team, the Thailand women's volleyball team, the South Korean women's volleyball team, the Chinese Taipei women's volleyball team, the New Zealand women's volleyball team, the Australian women's volleyball team, and the Iranian women's volleyball team.
The 12 teams are divided into four groups of three teams each. Each group plays a round-robin tournament, with the top two advancing to the quarterfinals. The group stage will be played from July 1 to 3.
The top two teams from Groups A and C go to Group E, and the top two from Groups B and D go to Group F. Group E and Group F will play a round-robin round robin in the semi-finals to produce the top four.
The third stage is for the semi-finals and finals. The winner will be decided on July 9.

The Chinese U20 women's volleyball team is led by coach Kuang Qi. Kuang Qi was a setter for the Shandong men's volleyball team and later served as the coach of the Chinese women's volleyball youth team.
In August 2023, Kuang Qi led the Chinese youth women's volleyball team to participate in the U21 Women's Volleyball World Championships. The Chinese women's volleyball team advanced to the final and defeated the Italian women's volleyball team 3-2 to win the championship. This is the first time in six years that the Chinese women's volleyball team has won the championship of this event.
Kuang Qi led the team to participate in the U20 Asian Championships, and the goal was very simple, that is, to win the championship.
