In order to promote the construction of Beijing International Science and Technology Innovation Center and create a highland for the innovation and development of the pharmaceutical and health industry, on June 28, the preliminary round of the biotechnology and pharmaceutical service project of the HICOOL 2024 Global Entrepreneurship Competition, sponsored by the Beijing Overseas High-level Talents Association and jointly organized by the Talent Work Leading Group of the Changping District Party Committee, the Management Committee of the Future Science City (Life Park Management Committee) and Beijing Haigao Innovation Technology Service Co., Ltd., was officially launched in Changping District.
Liu Guangyi, Director of the Talent Development Department of the Beijing Municipal Talent Work Bureau, Si Pengbo, Deputy Director of the Beijing Overseas Scholars Center, Zhang Xin, Member of the Standing Committee of the Changping District Party Committee and Director of the Organization Department, Liu Qiang, Member of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee of the Future Science City, Member of the Party Group of the District Government and Deputy District Mayor (concurrently), Guan Hongliang, Chairman of the Beijing Overseas High-level Talents Association, and Wu Yi, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the Association, attended the launching ceremony of the preliminary competition of the biotechnology and pharmaceutical service projects of the competition.
In his speech at the launching ceremony, Comrade Liu Guangyi said that the Future Science City, as one of the main platforms of "three cities and one district", is an important carrying area of Beijing International Science and Technology Innovation Center. This year, based on the regional innovation resource endowment, Changping District hosted the preliminary competition of biotechnology and pharmaceutical service projects, and cooperated deeply with HICOOL to jointly build a place for overseas talents to realize their dreams and help the construction of a future science city.
Comrade Liu Qiang said that Changping District, as an innovative city with rich scientific and educational resources, active scientific and technological exchanges and a strong entrepreneurial atmosphere, has always adhered to promoting scientific and technological innovation from a global perspective, and has built an international scientific and technological innovation center as a hub-type main platform and a gathering place for high-level talents. This competition focuses on biotechnology and pharmaceutical service projects, which is highly consistent with the industrial development direction of Changping District. We look forward to global scientific and technological innovation talents entering Changping, investing in Changping, and transforming scientific research achievements into Changping.
In the policy promotion session, Changping District Talent Work Bureau, Changping District Investment Promotion Service Center, Future City Management Committee (Life Park Management Committee), Changping District Science and Technology Commission and other relevant departments respectively gave detailed interpretations of the participating talents in many fields such as district-level talent policies, HICOOL award-winning project support, high-level talent supporting services, the overall environment of regional investment promotion, the industrial advantages of the life science park, and the support policies of high-tech enterprises. Changping District will create opportunities, build a stage and provide space for all talents who want to start a business and can innovate, and help entrepreneurs find the most needed resource elements, have the most comprehensive policy support, and enjoy the best quality entrepreneurial services on the HICOOL platform, so as to chase their dreams and achieve their careers in this hot land of innovation.
In addition, Changping District invited representatives of the two previous award-winning projects of the HICOOL Competition, Huaxia Yingtai (Beijing) Biotechnology Co., Ltd. and Beijing Xingkangyuan Biotechnology Co., Ltd., to share with the guests and participants the all-round support given by Changping District through HICOOL's "close and face-to-face".
After the preliminary evaluation, a total of more than 220 innovative projects from all over the world entered the preliminary round and gathered in Changping District to compete for the semi-final in the mode of "7+3" project roadshow. From June 28th to 29th, the preliminary round of the biotechnology and pharmaceutical service project of the HICOOL 2024 Global Entrepreneurship Competition was hotly held, and Changping District set up a talent meeting room to interpret various support policies in detail, actively negotiate the implementation of projects, and look forward to more excellent entrepreneurial projects emerging and taking root in Changping District.
