On June 30, at the Little Blue Flower Center in Changning District, children from Tencent's Mini Goose Imagination Camp and the elderly in the community jointly held the first Little Blue Flower Concert, using music to heal and evoke the long-term memories of the "old babies" and caring for the elderly with cognitive impairment with practical actions.
"What a beautiful jasmine, what a beautiful jasmine......" The young people's soft and gentle singing fluttered in the Little Blue Flower Civic Center, and the old people hummed softly along with the tune, wandering in the beautiful world of music together.
The students from the Mini Goose Imagination Camp of Tencent Youth Science and Technology Learning Center recreated and presented three works, "Memoirs", "Jasmine at Sunset" and "Moonlight", in the form of "technology + music", to spread friendship and care for the elderly with cognitive impairment. Zhuang Junlian, the person in charge of Tencent's Youth Technology Learning Mini Goose Project, told everyone, "In order to bring music therapy to the community, starting from December 2023, the students have done sufficient background research and literature study on Alzheimer's disease and music therapy, and used the music interactive editing program to re-create and adapt three folk songs in just three days, and arrange, fill in the lyrics, mix, sing, and produce album covers and MVs by themselves." At present, these three songs have been released on QQ Music.
The process of "new compilation of old songs" is full of ingenuity of "tailoring" for the elderly people with cognitive impairment. "Studies have found that 40 Hz audio has a positive effect on improving cognitive impairment. Therefore, in the arrangement, we deliberately added low-frequency music and retro elements, hoping that after hearing the music, the old people can get a good emotional experience in their memories and relax at the same time. "We hope that through our creativity and care, we can call on more people to pay attention to the health of the aging population." ”
For this concert, the social workers of Shanghai Perfect Elderly Service Center made a special trip to CPIC Home to record a community concert, and invited three groups of elderly people to represent their families to perform the song "Night of the Military Port" accompanied by the rainbow piano. "The night of the military port is quiet, and the waves gently shake the battleship...... "Teenagers and the elderly play together, feeling healing in intergenerational exchanges. During the event, the teenagers were also awarded the "Dementia Good Friends" public welfare certificate.
In recent years, with the continuous development of aging, the service support for elderly cognitive impairment has become an increasingly important part of the elderly care service system in Dacheng. Changning District took the lead in exploring the action of dementia-friendly urban areas for the elderly, and unveiled the city's first mentee-friendly urban empowerment support center with the logo of "Little Blue Flower" this year, and continued to implement service brands such as the "Little Blue Flower" sowing plan, the "Little Blue Flower" memory classroom, the "Little Blue Flower" round table pie, and the "Little Blue Flower" concert, actively promoted the construction of friendly networks, carried out one-stop family support, helped multi-dimensional industry empowerment, and expanded specialization. The practical application of socialized service resources in the service support scenario of cognitive impairment has continuously enhanced the ability of long-term care services and improved the quality of life of the elderly.
