On September 8, at the Bayingolin Hotel in Korla City, the relevant leaders of the State Intellectual Property Office and the Trademark Office announced that "Yanqi Basin Wine" was officially registered as a national geographical indication certification trademark. After 26 years of continuous development, the wine industry in Yanqi Basin has made full use of water, soil, light and heat resources, and has grown continuously, with an existing wine grape planting area of 120,000 mu and 40 winery clusters standing in Yanqi Basin on a large scale, cultivating a number of famous wineries and launching medium and high-end wines to the market. With the continuous improvement of the influence and product popularity of the production area, it has developed into one of the four major wine producing areas in Xinjiang and an important wine grape production base in the country, and has been rated as a national organic agriculture (winemaking) demonstration base by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People's Republic of China, and has won the title of "World Wine Characteristic Production Area". By applying for a geographical indication certification trademark, we can reasonably make full use of and preserve natural resources, human resources and geographical heritage, effectively protect high-quality characteristic products, promote the development of the wine industry, improve the influence of Yanqi Basin wine brand, enhance consumers' recognition of Yanqi Basin wine, and enhance the popularity and competitiveness of Yanqi Basin wine products in the domestic and international markets.
