On September 4, 2024, in Monaco, an Formula 1-like supercar, Aston Martin Valkyrie, was officially delivered to two-time FIA Formula One World Champion Fernando · Alonso. As an Aston ·Martin F1 Team driver, Alonso not only showed his pace on the track, but also took the supercar to the streets of Monaco.
Alonso's Valkyrie is not a regular version, but he designed it himself with Ast·on Martin's bespoke services team, Q by Aston Martin. Inspired by the AMR24 he drove on the track, the Valkyrie was finished in matte Racing Green with a special AMR matte lime pattern to accentuate the aerodynamics. In addition, the Venturi tunnel section of the car is finished in red and blue, while the roof, bonnet and bottom aerodynamics are made of exposed carbon fibre. The most striking thing is the titanium Aston ·Martin badge on the front face, which is instantly lovely.
The interior of the car also does not disappoint, with exposed carbon fibre throughout the cockpit and pure black Alcantara with AMR lime stitching for a futuristic look. Alonso's personal logo is also embroidered on the headrest, the same familiar lime hue.
And the coolest detail? It's the gas pedal! The red anodized aluminium pedal is engraved with "14", which is Alonso's driver number, a number that holds extraordinary significance to him as he won the Karting World Championship as No. 14 in 1996.
Alonso was also thrilled at the handover ceremony, saying: "It's hard to put into words how excited I am today, but being able to sit in the Valkyrie, which I designed myself, is definitely a day to remember. The Valkyrie is truly a road-ready F1® car that combines Aston · Martin's experience and know-how on the track, and I can't wait to hit the road! ”
The Valkyrie supercar is powered by a hybrid 6.5-litre V12 engine with a maximum power of 1,155 PS and a 0-60mph acceleration experience of less than 2.5 seconds, almost on par with a Formula 1 driving experience. This power, combined with the aerodynamics of the F1 car, makes the Valkyrie a veritable "beast" on the road.
Like all Aston · Martin sports cars, Valkyrie is produced at our headquarters in the United Kingdom, with each car handcrafted by a highly skilled team over 2,000 hours in time. The car will also be tested at Silverstone Circuit in the United Kingdom before delivery to ensure its ultimate performance.
With the 'Q by Aston Martin' bespoke service, owners like Alonso have the freedom to unleash their creativity and create a unique car that is their own. From custom-made body colors to personalized details on the interior, there are few things that are impossible.
More than just a car, the Valkyrie is a work of art and the perfect companion for Alonso to continue his legend on the road.
