TAG Heuer unveils the Monaco Racing Green Chronograph

With its iconic Monaco collection, TAGHeuer has continued to weave a bond with the world of motorsport throughout its decades-long history. From the beginning of the 20th century to the 1960s, racers competed in a race car livery in the colors that represented their respective countries. Each country has its own colors: bright Italy red, Germany from white to silver, and France's unique blues. Today, TAG Heuer is the latest addition to the Monaco chronograph collection, inspired by the famous United Kingdom Racing Green.

Racing Green is instantly recognisable and has a long history associated with United Kingdom motorsport. The first famous car to be painted in Racing Green was the Napier 50, which Selwyn Edge drove to win the 1902 Gordon · Bennett Cup. Modern United Kingdom racing teams and famous car manufacturers continue to use this colorway, making it a popular color in the racing world and a source of inspiration for new watches.

The overall design of the TAG Heuer Monaco Racing Green Chronograph is inspired by historic United Kingdom racing and its white and yellow elements. In keeping with the racing theme, the watch features a silver-toned sunburst dial with an elegant and timeless look reminiscent of the instrument panel used in racing cars of the 1920s and 30s to indicate engine turns.

The dial is adorned with 8 silver-appliquéd polished hour markers and 12 light green Super-LumiNova® dot markers for easy legibility. It is worth mentioning that the faceted baton hour markers at 12 o'clock have a striking yellow stripe, which is directly linked to the yellow central hand of the chronograph and the yellow elements on the famous racing cars.

The elegant sub-dials are coloured in a vibrant and sophisticated hue that pays homage to the traditional Racing Green livery. Adorned with the historic TAG Heuer logo, this watch is a testament to its rich heritage and will appeal to collectors and watch enthusiasts alike. The crown at 9 o'clock is in keeping with the pure Monegasque DNA since 1969.
