In anticipation of the upcoming 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Beijing Winter Olympics. On the occasion of the 2022 New Year, Wen Tong Painting Museum specially invited three famous contemporary artists to hold the "Depicting the New Era and Building the Chinese Dream Together - The Spring Festival painting exhibition in the Year of the Tiger" in Liulichang Ancient Culture Street in Beijing, exhibiting more than 60 works created by Lu Yushun, Ma Xinle and Nongnan, which was launched from December 18 to 27 for a total of ten days. During the exhibition, it was supported and praised by many calligraphy and painting lovers.
The three artists have different study and work experiences, as well as different expressions and understandings of art. But in the new era, through their own brushes, they depicted the new era and praised the new era, which is consistent. As Mr. Fei Xiaotong said, "Each is beautiful, and the United States is a common one." The paintings they exhibit are diverse in style and distinctive in personality, so that the viewer can have a different aesthetic experience, such as the "Hundred States of Spring Makeup" in the Hundred Gardens of Art.
The artists took the opportunity to wish the great motherland prosperity, happiness and health in the coming New Year, and wish the Beijing Winter Olympics a complete success!
About the Participating Artists:
Lu Yushun is the president of the National Academy of Painting of China, the vice president of the Chinese Painting Society, and the doctoral supervisor of the China Academy of Art. Mr. Lu Yushun's works use a new spatial composition and language form to express the boundless beauty of the universe of heaven and earth, and the works are vast, magnificent, mysterious and profound. Mr. Fan Di'an said that Lu Yushun's paintings, from concept to expression, from language to schema self-sufficient world, express the theme of the new era, and more consciously construct the cultural belief in the development of Chinese painting.
Ma Xinle is a famous painter in the United States. Born in the ancient capital of Xi'an, he studied under the giant Chinese painting master Huang Yin and was influenced by Liu Wenxi and other Chang'an painting schools. After obtaining a master's degree in fine arts from Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts in 1990, he went to Ohio State University in the United States to study oil painting, and after obtaining a master's degree, he stayed on to teach. In the United States, he studied with Mr. Wang Jiqian, a collector in New York, to learn the identification and collection of ancient paintings and calligraphy. Ma Xinle is good at people, flowers and birds, landscapes, especially horses. His works focus on the fusion of two heterogeneous painting elements of China and the West, emphasizing the transformation and transcendence of the national painting tradition.
Nongnan, a member of the China Prose and Poetry Association, has published more than 200,000 words of poetry, prose poems, essays and novels in various newspapers and periodicals across the country. When Nongnan was sixteen years old, he learned Chinese painting, and later received the guidance of Mr. Yi Feng, Zhang Tongyu and other gentlemen, and in recent years, he has taken Mr. Sun Boxiang, a calligrapher, as a teacher, and used calligraphy to paint with a pen, immersing himself in learning the tradition of Chinese literati calligraphy and painting. His works are simple and complex, pursuing pen and ink interest and literati artistic conception, with literary readability and full of philosophical thinking.
