But many people do not know that Empress Xiaozhuang's dowry is also worthy of our respect, she was sterile in order to cultivate the princes of the Qing Dynasty, but after her death, all the princes dressed her with filial piety.
This person was Su Ma Lagu, who was born into a poor Mongolian herdsman family, and in the tenth year of the Later Jin Mandate (1625), Su Ma Lagu followed Empress Xiaozhuang on a long journey to Shengjing, the capital of The Later Jin.
She had been serving as Empress Xiaozhuang's personal maid, and with her own efforts and brains, Su Ma Lama had accurately mastered Manchu and Chinese, and also wrote beautiful Manchu.
Because of suma lama's outstanding talent, she won the trust of Empress Xiaozhuang. In addition to putting her in charge of her daily life, he often lets go and boldly entrusts her with more important work.
After the death of Emperor Taiji, the imperial court was leaderless, and Hauge and Dorgon began to compete for the throne. Su Ma Lama took the risk to meet with Dolgun, who in the end did not become the "King of Yan" who usurped the throne, but became the Duke of Zhou who assisted the young lord.
Shunzhi was only 6 years old when he succeeded to the throne, and the power of the court was in the hands of Dorgon. The young Shunzhi Emperor also needed the support and guidance of his mother, Empress Xiaozhuang. However, according to the rules, the mother and son can only see each other once a month, so Su Ma Lagu acts as a bridge between the two of them.
After the birth of the Kangxi Emperor, he was sent to live outside the palace due to the prevalence of smallpox in the palace. Empress Xiaozhuang ordered Su Ma Lagu to take care of her grandchildren, and in addition, because Su Ma Lagu was proficient in Manchu and Chinese, she was also the enlightenment teacher of the Kangxi Emperor, and eventually achieved the fame of the Kangxi Emperor.
After empress dowager Xiaozhuang's death, Su Ma Lama was devastated and fell into sadness, loneliness, and boredom. The Kangxi Emperor immediately entrusted the emperor's twelfth son, Yin Qi, to Su Ma Lagu to raise, which shows the kangxi emperor's trust and importance to Su Ma Lagu.
On September 7, 1705, the forty-fourth year of the Kangxi Dynasty, Su Ma Lama died at the age of 94. Kangxi held a solemn funeral for her, and on the day of the funeral, all the princes dressed her with ma dai filial piety, and her coffin was placed with Empress Xiaozhuangwen, and the specifications were built according to the rank of concubines.
Su Ma Lagu's adopted son Yin Qi (胤祹) later remained neutral among the nine sons of Kangxi in his later years, so after the Yongzheng Emperor ascended the throne, he was not attacked, but instead was made the king of the county. In the twenty-eighth year of Qianlong, Yin Yu died at the age of 79. Of the Kangxi Emperor's 35 crown princes, he was the oldest.
Yin Qi's ability to be honored with the title of domain and live a long life is directly related to the careful cultivation and guidance of Su Ma Lama.
Although Su Ma Lagu was only a dowry maid, she dedicated her life to the Manchu Qing royal family, did not marry and did not have children, but cultivated the greatest emperor of the Manchu Qing, Kangxi.
At the funeral, all of Kangxi's sons wore filial piety for Su Ma Lama, and on this day, they were all su Ma Lama's sons. For a maid, this is absolutely the supreme honor.
