She was sent to the palace by her brother at the age of 27, became the concubine of the Qianlong Emperor, three years after entering the palace, she was promoted to the throne, became the lord of the inner court, she had a grudge with her successor, became the key figure who fell out of favor after her, she was favored by Qianlong for 28 years, after her death Qianlong was in tears, today we will take a look at the most peculiar concubine of the Qianlong harem: Concubine Rong.
In the twelfth year of Yongzheng, on September 15, Concubine Rong and Zhuo were born into a Huibu aristocratic family, the father of the 29th Huibu Taiji Ali and Zhuo. When she grew up, she was known for her beauty in the northern and southern parts of the Tianshan Mountains, and in her teenage years, her fathers Ali and Zhuo married her to Huo Jizhan (小和卓), the younger son of the feudal lord Mahamut.
In May of the 20th year of Qianlong, the Qing army pacified the Dzungars for the second time, freeing the two sons of the feudal lord Mahanmut, who were detained by the Dzungars, Yamato Zhuo and Xiaohe Zhuo. Who knows, this Xiaohe Zhuo actually took revenge, killed the deputy capital of the Qin faction of the imperial court, and called himself Batur Khan, and then Xiaohe Zhuo's brothers Dahe Zhuo also rebelled together, and the two brothers dominated southern Xinjiang.
And Zhuo's brother Tur heard about the rebellion of the Big and Small Zhuo brothers and did not want to help the abuse, so Xiaohe Zhuo abandoned his sister and the Zhuo clan. Subsequently, the Qing court sent general Zhaohui to quell the rebellion of the Zhuo brothers, and after three years of war, the rebellion was finally put down. He Zhuo's brother Tur was summoned to the Beijing Division with his sister and Zhuo Shi for his meritorious service in assisting the Qing army.
After coming to the capital, Qianlong received Turdu and other Hui leaders and held a grand banquet, during which Qianlong also rewarded the palace maid Barang to Turdu as his wife, in order to repay the favor of heaven, Turdu gave his divorced, 27-year-old sister and Zhuo to Tianzi, so he and Zhuo became the concubines of the Qianlong Emperor.
In order to maintain the close relationship between the Manchus, Qianlong unceremoniously adopted he zhuo, and because he and zhuo were not familiar with court etiquette, he arranged for him to study the rules with empress Nala (Qianlong's successor). After a period of study, Hezhuo clan gained his own name, that is, Heguiren.
It is worth mentioning that the Hezhuo clan was full of peace from the moment they entered the palace, and it is said that the lychee tree transplanted from the south to the palace actually bore fruit, which made Qianlong Longyan very happy, and the empress dowager laughed out of the flowers and loved the Hezhuo clan very much. After only three years, he Zhuo was crowned as a concubine and became the lord of the inner court, and it is said that in order to allow the Hezhuo family to live comfortably in the palace, Qianlong built a luxurious BaoyueLou for her, and specially invited the chef to make meals for her, and the usual rewards were continuous.
However, beneath this peace lies a great crisis.
At the beginning of the 30th year of Qianlong, there was a case of "the empress losing dongzhu" in the palace. Concubine Rong and Zhuo shi accused empress Nala clan of stealing Dongzhu and then took out the palace for money, and what was unexpected was that in the subsequent investigation, they really found letters between the empress and the palace guards. Regarding the outcome of this matter, there is no record in the historical records, and it may be related to the subsequent incident of hair cutting and falling out of favor.
This year, on the southern tour, the empress Nala clan fell from the peak of the harem due to hair cutting, and Rong Concubine and Zhuo Shi were one of the six concubines who accompanied the southern tour, she witnessed the fall of the Empress of the Qing Dynasty, as for what role He Zhuo played in this incident, we do not know. However, only three years later, He Zhuo was promoted again, was crowned as a concubine, and began to rank among the upper echelons of the harem.
Since then, although he and Zhuo's age has continued to increase, Qianlong's favor for her has not diminished in the slightest, and various rewards have continued. After the death of Emperor Yi of Qianlong forty years, he and Zhuo Shi had a pivotal position in the harem, and at a banquet, she had already sat at the first-class table in the west.
On April 19, 53, Princess Rong and Zhuo died of illness at the Qing Palace at the age of 56, and it is said that before her death, Qianlong also rewarded ten spring oranges, after which Qianlong was even more tearful, ordering 60 lamas to chant for seven days for hezhuo, and finally, he was buried in the Qianlong Yu Mausoleum.
