China Fortune News Recently, the board of directors of BMW Brilliance Automobile Co., Ltd. (BMW Brilliance) announced that from April 1, 2022, Dr. Dai Hexuan, the company's current senior vice president of technology and production. Franz Decker will succeed Dr. Johann Wieland as President and CEO of BMW Brilliance, and Robert Kuessel, currently Director of the Dadong Plant, will take over as Senior Vice President of Technology and Production from April 1, 2022. Dr. Wei Lander will return to Germany at the end of his term.

Dr. Dai joined BMW Brilliance in September 2016 as Vice President of Strategy and Logistics and was promoted to Senior Vice President of Technology and Production in January 2020, having 18 years of experience with the BMW Group prior to coming to China. In recent years, the automotive industry has faced multiple challenges, Dr. Dai Hexuan has been responsible for and successfully built new factories and upgrading projects, while also promoting BMW Brilliance to a new high in production.
Mr. Kunshuo, new Senior Vice President of Technology and Production at BMW Brilliance Automotive Co., Ltd
Mr. Kunshuo joined the BMW Group in 2000 and has extensive production, planning and management experience in Germany, China and the United States. Last year, he led the Dadong plant to a record production record, and before that he served as the director of the Tiexi plant.
During Dr. Wei Lander's five and a half years as President and CEO, BMW Brilliance doubled its production and performance, significantly expanded its Shenyang production base, and created more than 6,500 new jobs. In 2021, BMW Brilliance's output in China jumped to the top of the list of high-end car companies. These contributions help the BMW Group set a new sales record in China in 2021 and continue to lead the premium car segment.
