As an international student, I was fortunate to meet a group of kind, sincere, simple, and enthusiastic Japanese friends. In my study abroad career, I have given me a lot of care, encouragement, support and help. Japan is a beautiful island country surrounded by the sea and beautiful scenery. The beauty of the four seasons is very distinctive.
Japan in spring is especially beautiful. Spring is the season when everything recovers and flowers bloom. In March in Japan, when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, I will meet friends to enjoy the flowers, have dinners, swim in the sea, hike, and travel.
Among my Japanese elders, there is a warm and kind couple, Mr. and Mrs. Kuroki. They have three adult children. Very hospitable and often invited me to their house. When there are many people, they will open the Japanese-style partition door and form a long line, and everyone will sit on the tatami mat, sitting around a small low table, eating delicious traditional Japanese food carefully prepared by Mrs. Kuroki, chatting in the south and the north, without borders. Japanese people and international students get along well, get together, and enjoy each other. In the spring, the whole family would meet up with friends, take me with them, go on an outing, and have a picnic in the park. With prepared Japanese home cooking, a variety of homemade rice balls, sushi, bento, fruits, and drinks, we spread them on a tablecloth on the grass, and everyone sat on the floor to enjoy the spring scenery while enjoying the food, chatting happily, and relaxing. I still remember the taste of rice balls made by Mrs. Kuroki in Japan. The sour plums in the rice balls, sweet and sour, with the sticky and soft fragrant rice, are very delicious and still fresh in my memory. At the end of the tour, they would take me home in a car.
I have a lot of like-minded young friends in Japan, young people in Japan, very kind, easy-going, warm and polite. I have a good friend named Sachiko Fujimura, who often takes me to her house for dinner, and the Japanese food made by her parents is also delicious. The ingredients cooked into the pot were fresh. Japanese cuisine and Japanese home cooking have always been unforgettable. Sachiko's friends will also call me for dinner. Once, when I returned to my hometown in the spring to worship my ancestors, she also took me back to my hometown. Drive for a few hours to her ancestral home in the countryside. Although the ancestral house is no longer inhabited, it is clean and tidy. There was a river in front of her house, and there was a big tree in the yard, and under the tree was a huge cool bed. Sitting on the cool bed under the tree, blowing a slight wind, looking at the ducks swimming freely on the opposite river, the wildflowers blooming in the fields, and suddenly feeling that the life in the idyllic countryside is really beautiful and comfortable.
In the spring, there are also many events organized at Japanese universities. The school organizes a food festival, on the campus lawn, set up a booth, on each booth, students can put their own prepared, cooked food, marked with prices, selling. If you have a favorite classmate, you can buy it yourself. The school also holds a tea ceremony conference for students with excellent tea ceremony skills to perform tea art. The school also organizes students to visit the US military base. Visit the warships of the US military, the radio station of the base, theatrical parties, talent shows, and dinners.
