"Spring Temple Fair" in a Chinese Garden in Malta

There is no winter that is insurmountable, and there is no spring that does not come. In March, what is the different experience of attending a temple fair that used to be held during the Chinese New Year? On April 24th, the "Spring Temple Fair", hosted by the Malta Chinese Cultural Centre and Santa Rukia City Hall in Malta, and cooperated by the Confucius Institute of the University of Malta, the 17th China Medical Aid Team, the University of Malta Chinese Medicine Center, and the Malta Science and Technology Museum (Esplora), was successfully held in the city's classical Chinese garden "Jing Garden", presenting a multicultural feast for the local people.

"Travelers travel to draw, spring and melt", and the warm sunshine shines on the "China Jingyuan". The yingmen are a stage built on top of the fountain pool, and the shadow wall stone sculpture "Prosperous Breeding Map" contrasts with the banner that integrates the Elements of The Dragon's Head, Peony, Cornflower and other Chinese horses and children's animation images, and merges into the stage background. On the left side of the road leading to the garden area, there is a "Culture Street", with representative cultural products and services with Chinese characteristics such as traditional Chinese medicine, calligraphy and painting, dragon and lion interaction, handicrafts and small snacks; the garden area has become a quiet and elegant "cultural collection", providing a number of indoor workshops such as piano, chess, books, paintings, tea, handicrafts, traditional games, etc.; outdoor special arrangement "Between Inches • Chinese Characters Cultural Creativity and Tourism Exhibition" to celebrate the "United Nations Chinese Day". In the picnic area and sculpture garden on the right, visitors can safely experience Chinese cuisine and Malta's "Ftira" flat yeast bread inscribed on THE UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2020; children can also participate in scientific experiments, sand paintings, horseback riding, bouncy castles and other projects that integrate local resources.
