On January 24, under the guidance of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League in Lingqiu Rural Revitalization Task Force and the Central Youth League School, sponsored by the Beijing Youth Social Work Development Center, co-organized by the Lingqiu County Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Second Affiliated High School of Beijing Normal University and the Guzhihe Middle School of Donghenan Town, Lingqiu County, and supported by the China Rural Development Foundation (formerly the China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation), the research activity of "Youth Hand in Hand to Help Rural Revitalization" was successfully held in Donghenan Village, Donghenan Town, Lingqiu County. The activity was strongly supported by the Party Committee of Donghenan Town, the Town Government and the Donghenan Village Committee.
On the same day, more than 40 students from the Second Affiliated High School of Beijing Normal University participated in a variety of research activities in Donghenan Village. They strolled through Gongqing Street to appreciate the art of wall painting, swam in Shilihua Creek to feel the beauty of nature, and walked into the seedling base to learn about ecological agriculture. In the cultural compound, the students watched the wonderful dragon and lion dances, gong and drum performances, and intangible cultural heritage performances, and appreciated the charm of traditional culture. In the support workshop, the students learned how to make handmade lanterns and made lanterns by themselves, and experienced the fun of handicraft. They also visited the Haven of Childhood Hearts to learn about the importance of helping left-behind children. In the village committee, the students learned about the history of Donghenan Village, the digital system and the application of plant protection drones, and had a deeper understanding of the application of modern technology in the village.
In addition, the students also participated in the Spring Festival couplet writing activity, which added a festive atmosphere to the village. The Donghenan Village Committee presented Spring Festival couplets to the students and prepared sweet and crispy yellow baked cakes.
Finally, at the sharing meeting held at Fuyuanchun Restaurant in Donghenan Village, everyone actively communicated and shared their experiences and gains in research activities.
The development of this research activity allowed the students to have an in-depth understanding of the cultural, industrial and social development of the countryside, and enhanced their knowledge and understanding of rural revitalization. At the same time, it has also injected new vitality and impetus into the development of Donghenan Village, and promoted the exchange and cooperation between urban and rural areas. (Deng Hua)
