According to sources, nearly 2,000 durian orchards in Khunburi district have suffered losses due to the rapid drying of durian tree roots due to prolonged scorching heat and drought, as well as the impact of pest invasion and damage, and nearly half of the durian fruits have fallen off the trunks. At the same time, the 150-rai Golden Pillow durian trees in Sensang County, which are more than 7 years old, have also fallen off their fruits due to hot weather and drought, and some durian trees are almost fruitless, and this year's durian production has dropped significantly.

In addition, the news also said that the recent weather has been very changeable, coupled with the summer storms that brought violent rains and landslides, which also caused serious damage to durian fruits. For example, in a durian orchard covering an area of 10 rai in Sensang County, 6 durian trees with about 180 durians were broken by strong winds, and about 300 durians fell off after the heavy rain, and the losses were very heavy.

It is understood that the Thai Meteorological Agency issued the latest summer storm announcement, and Nakhon Ratchasima is one of the provinces affected by the weather in the northeastern region, which is expected to have some impact on crops and poultry.
