On June 28, at the Chongqing Swimming and Diving Training Center in Shapingba District, Chongqing, swimming lifeguards participated in a lifesaving competition. On the same day, the 2nd Sichuan-Chongqing Swimming Lifeguard Vocational Skills Competition (Chongqing Station) and Chongqing National Fitness Swimming Standard Competition were held.

This skills competition includes individual competition and team competition, of which the individual competition is set up with 50-meter all-round lifesaving and 100-meter buoy lifesaving, etc., and the team competition is set up with 4×50-meter obstacle relay race and 4×25-meter dummy relay race. A total of more than 100 lifeguards from 14 teams from Chongqing and Sichuan competed on the same field to test the level of on-site rescue and on-site first aid. In this way, we will promote the exchange of life-saving technology and improve the comprehensive ability of swimming lifeguards.

On the same day, the event also set up four national swimming standard events, including 50-meter freestyle, 50-meter breaststroke, 50-meter backstroke and 50-meter butterfly.

It is understood that the competition was hosted by the Chongqing Municipal Sports Bureau, and undertaken by the Chongqing Athlete Development and Security Center and the Sichuan Provincial Social Sports Guidance Center.
