On June 24, local time, Mongolian President Khurilsukh personally visited Uzbekistan, and the embassies of the two countries were officially put into operation, which also marked a higher level of relations between the two countries, and Mongolia and Ukraine also signed a series of cooperation documents during the talks on the same day.
One of the transport documents mentions that Mongolia wants to strengthen bilateral trade between the two countries with the help of the trilateral railway and Uzbekistan.
In the past, South Korea asked Uzbekistan to sell high-speed rail trains, and then Mongolia signed a series of cooperation documents with Uzbekistan.
Now even Mongolia is ready to connect Central Asia and even Europe through the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, and at present, the two countries choose to open up Uzbekistan.
Mongolia and Ukraine unanimously stressed that they will work to increase the bilateral trade volume between the two countries in the future, and the goal is at least 5 to 10 times the current level, when the two presidents announced this matter, Mongolia and Ukraine immediately set up a special working group, and at the same time set up a special trade center building in the capital, and are already preparing for a trade agreement.
However, if Mongolia wants to achieve this goal, it has to talk to Uzbekistan, after all, China and Russia have Mongolia in all directions, so they still need the nod of China or Russia, otherwise even the world's most advanced locomotive will have to be blocked at their doorstep.
Let's talk about where Mongolia would pass if it succeeded in passing through Russia or China.
If Mongolia passes through China, the train can go west to Xinjiang through the China-Mongolia Railway, and then transit to Kazakhstan through the Alashankou or Khorgos port, and finally reach Uzbekistan, which is currently the best route for Mongolian trains to Central Asia.
But when the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway is officially put into operation, the situation will change, and Mongolian trains will not need to detour through Alashankou or Khorgos, but can directly enter Kyrgyzstan through the Turgat Pass, and then go directly to Uzbekistan and beyond
Europe, which will also be the best route from Mongolia to Central Asia or Europe.
In contrast, it is not very convenient to pass through Russia, the Mongolian side has to first borrow the Trans-Siberian Railway to Ulan-Ude, and then transfer to the Russian-Kazakhstan Railway to reach Uzbekistan, which is relatively far.
The problem is that although China's route is smoother than Russia's, Mongolia mostly chooses to use Russian railways because Russia and Central Asian countries use the same standard of railway tracks.
However, after the landing of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, this status quo will be changed, when Mongolia directly enters Central Asia through China's Xinjiang is the shortest and most economical route, which is why Mongolia wants to seek common development with Uzbekistan.
In fact, Mongolia wants to seek development with the help of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, which is not harmful to China and Russia, because the West has been fostering "anti-China" and anti-Russian forces in Mongolia all the year round, creating destabilizing factors against China in China's neighborhood.
