"In the 10 years since I retired, the proudest, most meaningful and most worthwhile thing I have been engaged in is to care for the next generation and pass on the red spirit." This is a sentence often on the lips of Zhang Yongping, a member of the "Five Elders" tour propaganda group in Zhangjiakou City. Since his retirement in 2013, Zhang Yongping has never forgotten to care for the next generation and contribute to the healthy growth of young people.

Zhang Yongping is committed to building the local red resources of Zhangjiakou into a national youth red education brand, actively participating in the Qiaodong District "Party History Learning and Education into Campus" activity and performance, giving full play to his own advantages, and going to more than 20 schools to tell the red story of the Beijing-Zhangjiakou Railway and the Beijing-Zhangjiakou High-speed Railway. He also participated in the establishment of a WeChat group for on-site research projects, and produced "immersive" and "experiential" on-site research materials such as "From Beijing-Zhangjiakou Railway to Beijing-Zhangjiakou High-speed Railway".

In order to better play the role of off-campus counselors, Zhang Yongping created his own "Yongping Grandpa" mailbox to establish Internet communication channels with the school and classmates to bring encouragement to the children. He also released a series of story works such as "Historic Decisive Battle to Liberate Zhangjiakou", which has been viewed more than 15,000 times on the Internet.

He went to preschool and kindergarten to preach Chinese culture, Chinese civilization and traditional Chinese virtues, and participated in special activities in welfare homes and special education schools...... In the past few years since joining the "Five Elders" tour of Zhangjiakou Party History Learning and Education, Zhang Yongping has participated in more than 200 activities, shot more than 300 hours of videos, completed nearly 200 activity works, and volunteered more than 10,000 times.

dedicated his youth to his white hair, and sprinkled the afterglow to reflect the morning sun. Zhang Yongping warms the flowers and hopes of the motherland with passion and responsibility, helps young people grow up healthily, and makes the motherland's "tomorrow's sun" more brilliant.
