On July 16th, the 7th World Congress of Congenital Heart Disease was grandly opened in Barcelona, and Professor Wu Qingyu, dean of the Hospital, was invited to lead the expert delegation of the Heart Center to attend the meeting.
More than 3,000 delegates from 102 countries attended the event, including peers in cardiac surgery, anesthesia, cardiopulmonary bypass and perfusion, cardiac intensive care and nursing, cardiology, cardiovascular imaging, cardiac electrophysiology and more.
Professor Wu Qingyu presided over the meeting at the venue of the Department of Congenital Heart Disease surgery, and participated in the management meeting of the World Society of Congenital Heart Disease as a core expert and standing committee member of the Society.
At the special seminar on the treatment of congenital heart disease in the world, Wang Lianyi, deputy director of the Heart Center and director of the Imaging Center of our hospital, made a wonderful report at the conference as the only representative of China. Introducing the high-level work of the heart center team of our hospital and the outstanding achievements in the rescue of children with congenital heart disease, it was warmly applauded by the participating experts for a long time!
The election was held during the meeting of the Standardized Naming Committee of the World Society for Congenital Heart Disease, and Director Wang Lianyi was elected as a member of the Standing Committee of the Management Committee, which is a full affirmation of the outstanding achievements made by our hospital in the field of congenital heart disease by global peers.

Wang Lianyi: (Consultation on difficult diseases every Tuesday morning)
Chief Physician, Associate Professor, Ph.D., Diagnostic Ultrasound Specialist. He is currently the deputy director of the Heart Center, the director of the Imaging Center, and the director of the Ultrasound Department. Mainly engaged in the diagnosis and treatment of non-invasive heart disease. The only member of the Standing Committee of the Standardized Nomenclature Committee of the World Society for Congenital Heart Disease in China. He is also a member of the Standing Committee of the "Vascular and Superficial Organ Ultrasound Professional Committee" of the Chinese Medical Imaging Technology Research Association, a member of the "Echocardiography Society", and a standing director of the Beijing Ultrasound Medical Society. He has accumulated rich experience in the clinical application of color Doppler and the ultrasound diagnosis of difficult and complex congenital heart disease. He was the first to apply cutting-edge ultrasound techniques such as cardiac 4d ultrasound to assess the structural and functional changes of complex heart disease changes, and had rich experience in prenatal screening of cardiac malformations, and used fetal echocardiography to diagnose complex congenital heart diseases including right heart, single ventricle, aortic artery transposition, atrioventricular valve atresia, endocardial pad defect, tricuspid valve downshift malformation, tetralogy of Faro's and aortic arch malformations. Early stress ultrasound and acoustic contrast echocardiography were carried out to diagnose coronary heart disease and conduct clinical prognosis evaluation. The routine and intraoperative application of transesophageal echocardiography provides a guarantee for the delicate diagnosis of infective endocarditis, aortic dissection and other patients, and provides real-time evaluation of surgical effects.
