In the history of our army's red agents, I am afraid that no one is more legendary than the experience of Yuan Shu, as an agent of our army, in his 14-year career as a secret agent, he has interpreted the legend in the history of secret agents, he once had five identities, each identity is of the utmost importance, in these years, Yuan Shu used his special wisdom, in the Japanese army, military command, the Chinese united army, to contribute a lot of important intelligence and weapons and equipment to our army, in this invisible front, Yuan Shu has become an object of admiration.
Yuan Shu is a Hubei Puchun people, born in 1911, when he was 8 years old, Yuan Shu came to Shanghai with his father, Yuan Shu's father was an old member of the League, he later served in the National Government, in 1928, Yuan Shu went to Japan, successively studied in Waseda and Japanese Universities, after returning to China in 1931, Yuan Shu passed the test, Pan Hannian personally introduced him to the party, doing secret work, from then on, Yuan Shu also began his magnificent career as a secret agent.
Soon, Yuan Shu received orders to break into the Central Investigation Section of the Kuomintang CC Group, and under the introduction of his cousin Jia Botao, a first-term student of Huangpu, Yuan Shu smoothly became acquainted with Wu Xingya, the head of the Central Unification, and infiltrated into the Central Unification Department.
In 1937, Yuan Shu was introduced to join the Green Gang and became a big man of the "Tong" generation, after the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the military command wanted to find a person who was familiar with the Japanese army and Japan's domestic relations, and after Du Yuesheng's introduction, Dai Kasa personally went to invite Yuan Shu, and Yuan Shu joined the military command again.
After the fall of Shanghai, Yuan Shu used his special status to do things for the country, he planned a number of hoeing activities as a major general in the military command, not only that, he also successfully blew up the Japanese naval munitions depot in Hongkou, in 1939, the military commander Wang Tianmu defected, he confessed Yuan Shu's identity, the Japanese secret service arrested Yuan Shu, at this critical moment, Iwai Hideichi came forward to save Yuan Shu's life.
During his work in Shanghai, Yuan Shu delivered a large amount of information to the New Fourth Army, and he met with Pan Hannian many times, not only that, Yuan Shu also used his identity to rescue a large number of patriotic personnel, such as Xu Guangping, Zou Taofen and others.
In order to protect himself, Yuan Shu also served in the Wang puppet government, and served as the head of the Qingxiang Political Work Group and the director of the Jiangsu Provincial Education Department, and at this point, Yuan Shu was already a red agent with five identities, which were, central unification, military command, Japan, the big man of the Green Gang, and Wang Fei.
In 1945, at the end of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Yuan Shu secretly transferred all the property of Iwai Ying to his own name, and the money was finally purchased by him for 3 large boxes of gold, and these gold were finally secretly sent to Yan'an by Yuan Shu, not only that, Yuan Shu also collected a large number of firearms and ammunition in the Japanese warehouse, and these things were also transported to the New Fourth Army in northern Jiangsu.
After the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Yuan Shu was secretly sent to the Liberated Areas, and from then on, Yuan Shu ended his 14-year espionage career, in 1949, Yuan Shu came to Li Kenong's intelligence department to do work, in 1955, because of the Pan Hannian case, Yuan Shu was imprisoned for 12 years, after coming out, during the Cultural Revolution, he was imprisoned again, in 1980, Yuan Shu was released, but he did not have his own personal freedom.
In his later years, Yuan Shu's spirit was greatly damaged, he was already delirious, sometimes laughing, sometimes crying, in 1982, the central authorities rehabilitated him, in 1987, Yuan Shu died of illness in Beijing.
Throughout Yuan Shu's life, the legend of the first half of his life has been repaid by the loneliness of the second half of his life, but we really should not forget such a red agent, his merits and contributions to the republic will always be engraved on the monument of history for future generations to admire!
