The series of books is composed of Luan Yongyu, secretary of the school party committee, Yang Canming, deputy secretary of the school party committee and president of the school, as the consultant of the editorial board of the series, Chen Ming, deputy secretary of the school party committee, and Zou Jinwen, vice president of the school, as the director of the editorial board of the series, Zhou Wei, member of the standing committee of the school party committee and director of the propaganda department of the party committee, and Gao Lihong, director of the discipline construction office, as the deputy director of the editorial board. This series of books is one of the main ways to present the results of the project "Interviews and Social Communication of Academic Life of Central South University Scholars" presided over by Chen Bo, editor-in-chief of the school newspaper.
General introduction to the series
In the general preface to the series, President Yang Canming counted the pioneering contributions of Fan Wenlan, Pan Zinian, Li Jiannong, and other great sages of Zhongnan to the founding of the state and Hubei philosophy and social sciences, and took stock of the outstanding contributions made by Zhang Jichun, Xiong Fu, Chen Kehan, Li Pu, Zhang Tiefu and other teachers and Feng Jian, Zhang Kaiyuan, Zheng Xiaoying, Zhou Shaohua and other students to the cause of news propaganda, culture and art in New China. Unfortunately, the society knows very little about the origins of these masters and Central South University. He pointed out that in the evaluation system built by "double first-class", academic reputation and social influence are important indicators. How to spread the school's humanistic heritage, transform it into a social reputation, transform it into a powerful driving force for the development of the school, and improve the "double first-class" evaluation results is an important issue in front of us. The project "tries to disseminate the reputation of Central South University in the society in a three-dimensional, diversified and systematic way by means of series of books, news reports, and media dissemination, so that more Central South University people can successfully 'break the circle', be known to the society, and become the most dazzling golden sign of Central South University", President Yang Canming expressed his appreciation and optimism about its success.
Introduction to the contents of the book series
According to Chen Bo, chief editor of the series of books and editor-in-chief of the school newspaper, this project was approved by the school's discipline co-ordination project at the beginning of last year, the main content of which is to report on the academic life of Central South University people through interviews, tell the story of Central South University people, inherit, enrich and disseminate the academic and cultural heritage of Central South University, show the experience, wisdom and spirit of Central South University, promote the formation and development of the Central South School, help the school's "double first-class" construction, and make due contributions to central south university to comprehensively display Chinese civilization and promote cultural exchanges and dissemination.
The book is the first in a series of books, and at the same time funded by the school's party building project, it was prepared by Fu Shaohua, deputy research librarian of the Archives and The History Museum, which took more than 10 years to prepare and took 3 years to compile.
Introduction to the contents of the book
For the first time, the book focuses on the "biography" of 16 doctoral supervisors (Professor Li Xianpei, Professor Zhou Jun, Professor Yang Shizhan, Professor Li Maonian, Professor Zhang Jitao, Professor Peng Xinglu, Professor He Shengming, Professor Wu Junpei, Professor Xia Xingyuan, Professor Song Xingmin, Professor Cao Longqi, Professor Wu Yijun, Professor Guo Daoyang, Professor Yan Richu, Professor Yu Xinyan, and co-supervisor Professor Liu Hongru) approved by the State Council and the Academic Degree Committee of the State Council in the history of our university, introducing their academic experience, academic achievements, governance strategies, and values 2. Teaching and research methods and experience in educating people show their spiritual qualities of diligence and eagerness to learn, selfless learning, courage to create the first, writing and other qualities, brilliant achievements, low-key, strict self-discipline and so on.
Professor Xu Dunkai, the former secretary of the party committee of the university, said in the preface to the book
"National approval doctoral supervisor" has become a history, but it is still a good story. For contemporaries, this is a beautiful memory of the transition period of higher education; for the later generations, it is a vivid textbook that burns the sun, does not spare, and explores the pearls.

The book came out as "a major event in the history of the management of archives in our school", and its creation carries the "brilliant page in the glorious history" of the Cpc Central Plains University since the founding of Zhongyuan University, which carries forward and praises the "humanistic color of the school at the peak of talent training" in the more than 70 years since its founding, and proves with archival history that "the party and the state founded Zhongyuan University to the bright and to the far-reaching historical facts".
