On December 19, 2023, in accordance with the national standard of "Classification and Evaluation of Quality Grades of Tourist Attractions" and the "Measures for the Management of Quality Grades of Tourist Attractions in Henan Province (Revised Edition)", the Zouzhuang Village Scenic Area in Xichuan County was determined to be a national 3A-level tourist attraction after being assessed by the Xichuan County Tourist Attractions Quality Rating Committee and studied and publicized by the Office of the County Tourism Service Center.
Located in Jiuzhong Town, Xichuan County, Nanyang City, Henan Province, the villagers of Fanggang Village relocated to the village in 2011 due to the construction of the middle route of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project, and was renamed as Zouzhuang Migrant New Village. Their hometown sank into the Danjiangkou Reservoir, and in exchange for the bubbling Danjiang River, it traveled all the way north to Tuancheng Lake in Beijing, moistening 26 large and medium-sized cities along the way, benefiting 108 million people.
On the afternoon of May 13, 2021, General Secretary Xi Jinping walked into the new village of Zou Zhuang immigrants to see the industry, listen to people's livelihood, visit immigrants, ask about income, and made important instructions on rural revitalization and the follow-up development of immigrants. In order to fully implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's instructions, the Shuchuan County Party Committee and the county government proposed the development layout of building "Dazouzhuang".
There are grape corridors, kiwifruit bases, spring nodes, lotus pond moonlight, "Jiangshan Theory" square, Zouzhuang village, smiling face wall, relief wall and other scenic spots in the Dazouzhuang Scenic Area, with unique shapes and beautiful scenery. Among them, the "Jiangshan Theory" square is a red cultural scenic spot created according to the "people are the country, and the country is the people", and has now become an important destination for research and travel from all walks of life.
Under the guidance of the strategy of "rejuvenating the county through cultural tourism", at present, Xichuan County has built 3 4A-level scenic spots such as Danjiang Grand View Garden, Xiangyan Temple, and Baxian Cave, as well as 3 3A-level scenic spots such as Zazen Valley, Peacock Valley, and Zouzhuang Immigration New Village, and has developed 3 provincial-level eco-tourism demonstration towns, 12 provincial-level rural tourism characteristic villages, and 3 provincial-level leisure and sightseeing parks, and built 8 star-rated hotels, 16 boutique homestays, and more than 700 farmhouses. Jingziguan Ancient Street and other high-quality scenic spots and tourist routes have been increasingly improved, and key projects such as Tangshan Park, Danjiang Small Three Gorges, and Zhongrun Ecological Health Town have been steadily promoted, and the all-for-one tourism pattern has been basically formed.
