According to the latest news, the successor to Audi's new generation A6, the A7, is expected to make its debut in the first half of next year. With the launch of the A7, the A6 series will focus on pure electric models, while the A7 series will take over the place of the petrol version. The A7 series will include the A7 Sportback, A7 Avant, S7 and RS7 models. At the same time, the position of the domestic A6L fuel vehicle will also be taken over by the A7L model. The new model will compete with the BMW 5 Series, Mercedes-Benz E-Class and Cadillac CT6.

Judging by the renders released, the new generation A7 model has a flat polygonal grille at the head, flanked by newly shaped LED headlight clusters. At the rear, there is a double-sided single-exit exhaust layout and, for the first time, a continuous LED taillight cluster. It is reported that the new car will be built on the upgraded MLB platform, and the body size is expected to be significantly increased.

In terms of power, the all-new A7 will be equipped with 2.0T and 3.0T turbocharged engines, mated to an 8-speed automatic manual transmission, and some models will be equipped with a four-wheel drive system. In addition, a plug-in hybrid model will be available with a new 14.4 kWh lithium-ion battery that is expected to have an all-electric range of up to 100 km. The S7 and RS7 series models will be equipped with the same 4.0T V8 plug-in hybrid powertrain as the Porsche Panamera, with a 17.9kWh battery pack.

In terms of interior, the new generation A7 will adopt the same design elements as the Q6 e-tron, equipped with a new four-spoke multi-function steering wheel, and equipped with an integrated LCD instrument + LCD central control screen.
