Ford officials recently released a set of eye-catching teaser images, revealing its upcoming all-new model, the Ford Capri. The new car marks Ford's further expansion in the electric vehicle segment, using the Volkswagen MEB platform, and is positioned as a compact all-electric coupe SUV, forming a sister car relationship with the Volkswagen ID.5. As you can see from the teaser images released, the Ford Capri presents a clean and modern design language. The headlight clusters have a neat rectangular design with four built-in LED daytime running light sources, signaling a clean line and sporty look. In terms of details, the front grille of the new car is expected to be presented in a black bezel and seamlessly connect with the headlight clusters to form an integrated front face shape. Regarding the powertrain, it has been revealed that the Ford Capri will be offered in two configurations. One is a version with a 210 kW rear single motor paired with a 77 kWh battery pack that accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds and has a range of up to 570 km. The other is a 250 kW front and rear dual-motor all-wheel drive system with a 79 kWh battery pack that accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds and has a range of 529 km. These two powertrains provide a choice for different driving needs, while also demonstrating Ford's technical prowess in the field of electric vehicles.
