1. Highlights of the conference
Hosted by IASP member Konza Technopolis, the conference provided a platform for global science and technology park practitioners to discuss the impact of demographic change on entrepreneurship and technology development.
Insight into the international perspective
This is the first time since 2008 that the IASP World Congress has returned to Africa, and this year's theme is "Population, Entrepreneurship and Technology: Defining the Frontiers of the Future Economy", which examines the role of science and technology parks in regions where population and structure are changing dramatically. The region's youth population is growing rapidly in the context of an ageing global population, which presents unique opportunities and challenges.
