People have to live worthy of three meals a day, and I can only draw and write something.

For me, writing is relatively happy, and the basis of happiness is that many friends like to read what I write. As for drawing, my friends also like it, but the bigger advantage of painting is that you can sell it for money, and if you sell it, you can invite friends to dinner and play, but painting doesn't make me happy as writing articles.

Each of my drawings is done with regret. After painting a picture, I found a problem and told myself to pay attention to the next picture, but when it came to the next picture, I had other regrets, so painting is a process of regret for a lifetime.

I often say that my painting style is changeable, because I have not received any professional training, so naturally there are not too many restrictions on my painting style. As I often say, I have never eaten a meal, I always pick up a little on the ground and eat a little, running around, picking up everywhere, forming my own form, which can also be called style.

But I'm more serious about literature. I write articles by checking word by word, and sometimes I have to change a small paragraph several times. I'm timid, because there are a lot of seniors here, and I can't be careless. In the past, I was very afraid of my cousin, Mr. Shen Congwen, because he saw that my articles had to be changed a lot, even more than I wrote. During the "Cultural Revolution", I helped him burn books and manuscripts, and there were a lot of Ding Ling's words in them, and I found that he changed more than Ding Ling's writing.

Shen Congwen is a very well-behaved and honest person, living and working plainly all his life. He is not like me, I am salt, he is cotton, if history is rain, he will be heavier and heavier, and I will be lighter and lighter. I can't stand the shower of history because I'm too playful and don't work hard.

My creations come from the complexity of life, where there is pain and desolation. Happiness is not my pursuit, but the complex life experience is. Happiness is to find a way out of life, a point of view, a point of view. Life should be forgiven, and it should be happy.

Take life calmly and don't be arrogant. Don't be arrogant when you're suffering, and don't be arrogant when you're proud, this requires self-cultivation, knowledge cultivation, and life cultivation. I said to a young friend, don't just study the biographies of the winners, but also the biographies of the losers. There is a lot of exaggeration in the biography of the winner, and there is a lot of truth in the biography of the loser.

I also write a biography, and "The Wanderer of the River of No Sorrows" has completed the first volume and is working on the second volume. I wish I could finish it myself. It can be a tragedy or a comedy. A person who is 90 years old and still writes a 12-year-old story, and there are still such long years to write, I'm afraid it's a tragedy, I'm afraid I can't finish it. Still, I'll keep writing to my last breath.

Sometimes, I wish I could take a day off and go out and have fun in peace. I really don't have much time to play, because every certain time, someone will come to urge the draft. It seems that there is no chance before the age of 100.

Every morning, while my mind is still clear, I write; In the afternoon, I painted; At three or four o'clock, good friends came, chatted together, and watched TV. I only play with people I can talk to, and I don't talk to anyone I don't like.

On weekends, regular friends will come to my house to watch "Do Not Disturb" with me, listen to music and tease the dog after watching it. I have a lot of dogs, one of them is called democracy and one is science. The name doesn't matter, but I have an opinion on the attitude towards democracy and science. Democracy and science were the slogans put forward during the May Fourth Movement, and today, the problems that occur in all processes are scientific issues, and democracy is only the manifestation of a policy at a certain stage.

My life is simple, my fingers have never touched a computer. Someone asked me what I knew about electrical appliances, and I said flashlights - I'm a layman except for flashlights.

Alas, the world has grown up, and I am also old.
