Canal Bay Park is a key project in the construction of the central city of Suqian City, Jiangsu Province in 2019. The park is about 3.5 kilometers long and covers an area of 42 hectares, starting from Suqian Gate in the north to Maling Road in the south, and was officially opened on October 1, 2020. At that time, as far as the eye could see, there were collapsed farmhouses, the black and smelly Maling River and uncultivated green spaces, which greatly affected the environment and the quality of life of the surrounding residents. At the beginning of the construction of Canal Bay Park, the construction goals of creating a scenic belt along the canal, protecting the ecological function of the canal, and excavating and displaying the canal culture in Suqian were clarified.
