254 days after the release of Wenxin Yiyan 4.0, Baidu officially released a new model, Wenxin Yiyan 4.0 Turbo.

Baidu CTO Wang Haifeng said that the new model has been officially opened to users in the form of a fee on the website, and the API is open to developers through the Qianfan model platform at the same time.

According to the data disclosed on the official website, Wenxin Yiyan 4.0 Turbo further strengthens the retrieval ability, the length of the context input has been upgraded from 2K tokens in version 4.0 to 128K tokens, which can read 100 files/URLs at the same time, and the resolution of AI images has also been upgraded from 512×512 to 1024×1024.

At the event, Baidu also released the "Farmer Academician Intelligent Body" jointly created by Academician Zhu Youyong and his team of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.

According to reports, the "Farmer Academician Agent" is based on the Wenxin Agent platform, and provides scientific answers to farmers' problems in production and life in the form of virtual digital humans by learning the research results and agricultural knowledge of Academician Zhu Youyong.

According to the data released by Baidu, so far, the industry has developed more than 1,000 AI tools and more than 500,000 AI applications based on the Wenxin Yiyan model, and Baidu and its partners have created more than 1 trillion pieces of high-quality industry data.

In addition, Baidu also disclosed the user scale of Wenxin Yiyan. According to official data, as of June 28, the users of the Wenxin Yiyan model exceeded 300 million, and the number of daily calls reached 500 million.

Wu Tian, vice president of Baidu, said that users have produced "7 billion lines of code" based on Wenxin Yiyan and created 590 million articles.

Compared with December 2023, "the number of user questions and the length of questions have increased by 78% and 89% respectively", Wu Tian cited data on the spot to emphasize the enhancement of Wenxin Yiyan's user stickiness.
