In order to better unite, serve and protect the workers of the online car-hailing industry, recently, the first member congress of the Shanghai Baoshan District Federation of Online Car-hailing Industry Trade Unions was held in the District Workers' Cultural Activity Center. A total of 31 member representatives from SAIC Xiangdao Travel and 7 online car-hailing rental companies in 4 towns in Baoshan attended the meeting.

In view of the characteristics of scattered and mobile online car-hailing drivers in the whole region, and the difficulty of organizing, the Baoshan District Federation of Trade Unions has actively explored the path of unionization and membership to adapt to the online car-hailing drivers, and has worked with functional departments such as SAIC Xiangdao Travel, the Law Enforcement Brigade of the District Transportation Commission and the Traffic Police Detachment of the District Public Security Branch to promote the establishment of the Baoshan District Federation of Online Car-hailing Industry Trade Unions. On the same day, in accordance with the provisions of the "Constitution of Chinese Trade Unions" and the "Regulations on the Election of Grassroots Trade Union Organizations", the conference democratically elected the first committee of the Federation by secret ballot. Since then, the majority of online car-hailing drivers in Baoshan District have their own "home".
Xu Shunjie, director of the capacity management department of SAIC Xiangdao Mobility, was elected as the first chairman of the labor union. He said that Xiangdao Travel will strengthen consultation and communication with the District Federation of Trade Unions, the Law Enforcement Brigade of the Transportation Commission, the Traffic Police Detachment of the Public Security Bureau and other departments, establish a sense of service for employees, and explore the "Baoshan Model" of serving the protection of the rights and interests of workers in the new employment form and building a harmonious labor relationship.
