Recently, with the official opening of the "Shanghai Silicon Alley" innovation parlor, its first exhibition "Magic Silicon - SeekerLab" was also opened to the public. The exhibition uses innovative forms such as projection and installation to bring a digital and intelligent art experience to the public.
The exhibition is rich and diverse, including the projection area (maker sharing area), TV screen area (series display of new AI works), "Silicon Alley Science and Technology Innovation Chain" installation, triangular prism light box and other areas, exhibiting some works of Donghua University teachers, students and cooperative enterprises, including the teaching results of generative AI workshops, smart wearable design and international award-winning works of digital art. During the exhibition, there will also be an AIGC Young Maker Sharing Session of the School-Enterprise Cooperation Course of the Department of Visual Communication of Donghua University.
In the exhibition area, five electronic screens are scrolling, showing the excellent works of students majoring in visual communication design at Donghua University. These works all use AIGC (Artificial Intelligence Generated Content) technology, such as "Paper Unfinished Building" by third-year student Chen Sirui, who focuses on the city's surplus space and uses AI technology to generate unique visual effects, showing her unique insight into modern urban space. Chen Sirui said that AI is very fast in map production, but it also needs to constantly adjust the instructions for AIGC, which makes her deeply aware of the high requirements of new technologies for innovative talents.
The holding of this exhibition benefited from the close cooperation between Huayang Road Street and the School of Fashion and Art Design of Donghua University. The two parties set up the SeekerLab Digital Intelligence Service Laboratory in the "Shanghai Silicon Alley" Innovation Room, aiming to carry out fashion science and technology innovation practices and digital intelligence art creation displays. At the same time, the teaching practice base of Donghua University was also officially listed in the "Shanghai Silicon Alley" creation room, providing students with a space for the display of innovative and creative works and promoting the entrepreneurship and employment of outstanding students.
