On June 30, only a few hours after the official opening of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor of the "Super Project" of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Shenzhen Bao'an's original Bay Area integrated cultural tourism IP "Bay Travel" officially "set off".

From July 1st to 7th, the 2024 "Bay Travel" Music Life Week will be held in Bao'an Happy Harbor. 20 groups of outstanding musicians from home and abroad will perform the "new voices" of the youth of the Bay Area through stages, exhibitions, sharing sessions, workshops and other forms, against the backdrop of the magnificent coastal city scenery of the Qianhai Baozhong District.

With the opening of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor, Shenzhen and Zhongshan have joined hands to enter the "half-hour living traffic circle", and the "one-hour commuting circle" of the "Golden Inner Bay" is accelerating its formation, which also makes the cultural exchanges between the cities in the Greater Bay Area break through the geographical boundaries again. Through the "link" of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Channel, a number of groups of musicians from western Guangdong came to the scene of the 2024 "Bay Travel" Music Life Week, performed with musicians from eastern Guangdong, and communicated face-to-face with international musicians, so as to carry out the exchange and collision of original music, traditional Chinese folk music and international pop music on the east and west banks of the Pearl River Estuary, and create a new cultural sample of regional integration.

It is reported that the main venue of the "Bay Travel" is located under the Ferris wheel of Shenzhen's new landmark "Bay Area Light", and on July 6th and 7th, the five stages of "Bay Travel" all over Happy Harbor will turn this place into a music "party" scene. Among them, you can see the Yangtze River Expressway, Qianhai Architectural Complex, the "Light of the Bay Area" Ferris wheel, and the West Shore Landscape Platform of Happy Harbor of the Esplanade Performing Arts Center, which will be used as a performance venue for the first time, and the audience can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Qianhai Baozhong Area in the sea breeze, sunset, and music, and experience the new music scene of the coastal city.

In addition to live music performances, the 2024 "Bay Travel" Music Life Week will set up a variety of activities such as music life sharing sessions, food fairs in the Greater Bay Area, and immersive healing music experiences, creating a pioneering and fashionable cultural tourism IP. "Bay Travel" combines trendy culture with Bao'an's characteristic tourism resources to create participatory, interactive and experiential consumption scenarios and methods, enrich new forms of urban consumption, open up a new track of cultural tourism, and interpret the new expression of cultural tourism in the humanistic Bay Area.

In the future, "Bay Travel" will also use music as the origin to link multiple scenes such as art design and life consumption, and expand into an urban cultural event that can be held on tour, so as to "drain" and empower the host city.

It is worth mentioning that in 2022, Bao'an will launch the first city-themed music album "Bao'an Radio Vol.1" in the Greater Bay Area, using music to "circle fans" around the world. On July 6th, the second work of the series of theme albums "Bao'an Radio Vol.2" will premiere on the stage of "Bay Travel" Music Life Week, and will be launched simultaneously on 200+ digital music platforms around the world. "Bao'an Radio Vol.2" focuses on the original music of new folk music, not only using national instruments such as matouqin, zhongruan, and pipa to perform, but also combining electronic music with traditional Chinese music elements such as Cantonese opera, Nanyin, and hoomai, exploring new musical forms and styles in inheritance.

"We chose to create the Bay Area integrated cultural tourism IP 'Bay Travel' in Bao'an, the core area of the Bay Area, in the hope of condensing the cultural power of young people in the Greater Bay Area and opening a new chapter in the cultural exchanges of cities in the Bay Area through innovative urban cultural events." Meng Ruixue, the initiator of "Bay Travel" and president of the Bao'an District Original Music Association, said.
