Bian Xueting: Flowing time

This is a 135-square-meter house in Beijing, which is intended for two generations, so the space needs to accommodate the needs and habits of parents and young people. The project tends to coexist with pragmatism and aesthetics, creating a restrained and calm atmosphere through soft natural light and the collision of warm wood, travertine and stainless steel.
Inside, the wall-to-wall storage function area and the kitchen operation area form a hallway space, and then the eyes fall inwards to the open wall-hung clothesrail, dining area and living room. The overall open-plan layout combines calm wood and soft tones, together with the greenery projected into the space outside the windows and the greenery inside, allowing residents to feel as if they are living in a natural landscape.
The tone of the living room is simple and orderly, with light-colored walls and floors with the texture of the years as the base, and two sets of large-area storage cabinets hide books, wiring equipment in an orderly manner inside, so as to present a neat and unified visual space. The sunlight shines through the window and the swaying reflection of the plants outside, adding a touch of vitality to this quiet space.
The open-plan design of the living room, low-saturation colors and stainless steel materials add a multi-layered sensory experience to the house, creating a relaxed and stretching living environment on the basis of satisfying functions. The relationship between the volume formed by the combination of side storage, travertine and wall.
The kitchen is decorated with clean tones and natural textures in wood tones, creating a seamless connection between the dining and living rooms. The balcony area accommodates laundry and drying functions, and folding doors allow the space to be divided into separate spaces when needed.
The bedrooms are decorated with calming colours to provide a tranquil and high-quality sleeping environment. The wall-mounted storage cabinet is combined with the dressing table, which is all-in-one and saves space. Sunlight filters through the louvers into the room, as if a filter has been applied to the space.
Clean walls and warm wood, hand-textured floors, orderly sequencing of lines and colors, this project shows tranquility and harmony, like an elegant painting, allowing people to unload their fatigue and get relaxation.

Hao Zewei design: The house of the wood

The project is located in Hefei, a 150-square-meter log wind home. The designer uses a rational design language to reconstruct the spatial order, using simple wood and white lines to construct the spatial skeleton, virtual and real, light and shadow, or interspersed, or occlusive, or perspective, and the spatial relationship is progressive, conveying rich spatial tension.
The original spatial structure is broken, and the hollow partition of the entrance makes the space more transparent as a whole. The pure white wood color of the space with wooden lines makes the originally cramped space visually wide under the projection of daylight. The layout of the living room has changed from the tradition, and the sofa is facing the TV wall, and the spatial relationship is more abundant in the interspersed and progressive interaction.
Combined with the needs of customers, the designer placed a "white box" in the public area, and formed a "migratory line" around this box, connecting the public area and the private area, weakening the original narrow and cramped aisle space, and making the original single circulation line more suitable for diverse life scenes.

The hidden cabinets on both sides of the dining room give enough storage space, and the collision of the same color wood and white countertops and walls, combined with refined lines and block materials, makes the tone of the space uniform and layered.
The open handwashing station and laundry space are cleverly placed in the corner of the "white box". With the cooperation of the wooden ceiling, the space becomes a highly enveloping whole, achieving high space utilization and allowing residents to interact more closely at home.
Passing through the "Migration Line", you will come to the bedroom at the end of the corridor, which continues the tone of the public area, the integrated queen bed makes the space look clean and simple, and the neat furnishings enhance the sense of healing in the bedroom, allowing residents to enjoy quiet private time in it. The bedroom is equipped with a separate bathroom, and the movable folding window divides the two spaces, and at the same time plays a decorative role.
