Since June, the mainland has entered the flood season in an all-round way, with frequent extreme weather, a marked increase in precipitation in the south, floods in many places, and a grim situation in flood prevention and flood control. In order to fully implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on flood prevention and drought relief, Yangtze River Electric Power, a subsidiary of the Three Gorges Corporation, adheres to the combination of prevention and preparedness and emergency response, and organizes comprehensive emergency drills for flood control at six cascade power stations in the world's largest clean energy corridor.
"The inflow of the Xiangjiaba Hydropower Station has reached 28,200 cubic meters per second." Recently, the 2024 flood control comprehensive emergency drill of Xiangjiaba Hydropower Station was held in the dam area. The purpose of this emergency drill is to test the joint emergency rescue and rescue capabilities of the river basin and enhance the awareness of emergency rescue and responsibility of employees through all-round simulation of different disasters such as earthquakes, plant-wide power outages, and flooded plants.

Different from the past, this emergency drill rehearsed the rescue process of the "trinity" of water, land and air for the first time. According to the drill plan, after the disaster, all units in the Xiangjiaba area quickly carried out rescue and opened up land transportation. At the same time, Xiangjiaba Power Plant immediately contacted the rescue teams of Xiluodu Power Plant of Yangtze River Electric Power, the Third Engineering Bureau of China Aneng Group, and the Chengdu Control Center of the Three Gorges Ladder Dispatch Communication Center of Yangtze River Electric Power to organize and carry out the emergency joint dispatch of Xiluodu-Xiangjiaba Power Station, and for the first time with the help of professional rescue helicopters, to carry out personnel rescue, fire extinguishing and other tasks.

Huang Tao, a member of the Xiangjiaba Power Plant drill planning team, said: "This time, we are paying more attention to the emergency treatment of the entire dam area and the entire river basin under extreme disasters, which requires the joint dispatch of cascade reservoirs and the participation of more large-scale equipment like helicopters." ”
It is understood that in addition to the Xiangjiaba Hydropower Station, the remaining five cascade power stations of the world's largest clean energy corridor have invested a large number of new equipment and new devices in this year's disaster prevention and emergency drills, or increased the difficulty of the drill, focusing on the "four real" characteristics of actual combat command, real-time linkage, on-the-spot development, and actual identity participation, and strive to carefully test the emergency response capabilities of the participating units in an environment close to actual combat.

In the Three Gorges Hydropower Station, GIS inspection robots were used for the first time in the flood control emergency drill to carry out emergency pre-disposal, and the efficiency of emergency response was improved. In the emergency drill of Gezhouba Hydropower Station, the sewage cleaning robot was used to clean and float before the dam to ensure the smooth flow of the river and the stable operation of the power station. The comprehensive emergency drill for flood control of Baihetan Hydropower Station was broadcast live online, and after the on-site picture was synchronously transmitted to the emergency headquarters, the drill personnel responded quickly, and the emergency response was standardized and efficient. Wudongde Hydropower Station chose to set the background of the flood control emergency drill as a red flood warning and an orange rainstorm warning, while the flood control emergency drill of Xiluodu Hydropower Station simulated a major flood once in 20 years.
