On September 5, Li Xi, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, met with Libya Presidential Council Chairman Manfi and Ghanaian President Akufo-Addo in Beijing, who came to China to attend the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation.

During the meeting with Manfi, Li Xi said that President Xi Jinping and President Manfi jointly decided to establish a strategic partnership between China and Liberia to guide the course for the development of bilateral relations. China is ready to work with Liberia to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, firmly support each other on issues of their respective core interests, consolidate friendship and mutual trust between the two countries, expand exchanges and cooperation in various fields, and continue to open up broader prospects for the China-Liberia strategic partnership. Li Xi gave a briefing on the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and his experience in fighting corruption, and expressed his willingness to work with Liberia to continue to strengthen international cooperation in fighting corruption under the framework of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation.
Manfei said that Liberia abides by the one-China principle. The establishment of a strategic partnership between Liberia and China is encouraging, and we look forward to strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation under the framework of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and the Belt and Road Initiative for the benefit of the two peoples.

During the meeting with Akufo-Addo, Li Xi said that Ghana was one of the first countries in sub-Saharan South Africa to establish diplomatic relations with New China. For more than 60 years, the two sides have always been sincere, friendly and supportive. President Xi Jinping's keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the forum drew a blueprint for the development of China-Africa relations and charted the course for the development of China-Canada relations. China is ready to work with Canada to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, consolidate political mutual trust, strengthen practical cooperation, strengthen people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and promote new progress in bilateral relations. China and Canada have maintained good cooperation in the fields of anti-corruption, fugitive and stolen goods recovery, and China is willing to deepen international cooperation with Canada in anti-corruption to help the development of bilateral relations.
Akufo-Addo said that abiding by the one-China principle is one of Ghana's important foreign policies. We look forward to jointly implementing the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) and elevating Canada-China relations to a new level.
